Psalms 139:23

Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties.

Devotion.

Our Creator God understands us more than we understand ourselves. He understands our struggles, our feelings, because He created us and He knows us very well. So when we feel overwhelmed, anxious or distress, let us take it to the Lord in prayer, and ask Him for His help, because He knows and sees down the corridor of time and He knows what to do and what is best for us in every situation.

Prayer (for you)

Heavenly Father,

My faith, hope and trust is in You, O Lord God Almighty.

For You are the Creator God, the Source and Sustainer of my life.

You give me the breath that I breathe.

And You are the only true and living God, and there is no other, but You.

O Lord, You know everything about me, know me more than I know about myself.

You know my concerns, my feelings, my struggles, so I come to You with a humble heart, and I ask for Your intervention in my situation.

O Lord, You know all about my situation, so please do for me what is best.

Lead, guide, direct and provide for me according to Your riches in glory through Jesus Christ, my Saviour.

I give You thanks and praise for what You have already done and what You will do for me.

What a Mighty God You are, might to save and strong to deliver, save and protect.

I love, praise, glorify and exalt You.

In Jesus’ name, I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.

Hymn.

Be not dismayed what-o’er betide.

God will take care of you.

Beneath His Wings of love abide.

God will take care of you.

God will take care of you.

Through every day.

O’er all the way.

He will take care of you.

God will take care of you.

All you may need He will provide,

God will take care of you.

Nothing you ask will be denied.

God will take care of you.

3.

No matter what may be the test.

God will take care of you.

Lean, weary one, upon His breast.

God will take care of you.

Yes, God will take care of you.

Have faith, hope and trust in Him.

God will take care of you.

Praise the Lord!

2 Corinthians 5:17-18

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation; old things have passed away, behold all things have become new.

Now all things are of God, Who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them; and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

That is the reason we are baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit – three in One, the Trinity.

Daily Bible Verses

Romans 8:5-6

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Devotion.

“The mind must be trained to dwell on heavenly things. Humility will come as the result of discerning the loveliness of Jesus Christ. Dwelling upon Christ’s excellencies of character, we shall see the offensive character of sin and will by faith grasp the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

We will cultivate the virtues that dwell in Jesus, that we may reflect to others a representation of His character. When we look at the cross of Calvary, we will not exalt self, but keep constantly in view our unworthiness and how much our salvation cost heaven; we will discern Christ’s matchless love.”  Quote from This Day with God. page 261.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal Father,

I humbly come to You in prayer and ask for Your guidance and direction in all areas of my life.

Help me to have a spiritual, heavenly mind, not a earthy, carnal, fleshly mind.

Lord, please renew my mind from earthly things to heavenly things, and help me to seek Your Holy ways.

Help me to cultivate the virtues that dwell in Jesus Christ, so that I can see the offensiveness of sin.

Thank You for sending Jesus to be my Saviour and Redeemer.

Lord Jesus, come into my life today, and lead and guide me as I journey along the Christian pathway.

Please forgive me of my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

Lord Jesus, please cover me with Your ” Robe of righteousness and Your Garment of Salvation.”

And I humbly ask again that You transforms my mind, train my mind to dwell on heavenly things and to focus on the excellency of Jesus’ character.

I praise and adore You.

In Jesus’ precious name, I pray. Amen.

Hymn.

Live out Thy life within me.

O Jesus, King of kings!

Be Thou Thyself the answer.

To all my questionings.

Live out thy life within me.

In all things have Thy Holy way!

Amen.
