Exodus 33, 34

For the Lord had said to Moses, ” Say to the children of Israel, ” you are a stiff-necked people. I could come up into your midst in one moment and consume you. Now therefore take off your ornaments, that I may know what to do to you.”

After the Lord God used Moses to help to  rescue the children of Israel from slavery and Egypt’s Pharoah, they forgot how much God had done for them.

When Moses went up to the mountain to meet with God, and to receive the ten commandments, the people got impatient when Moses’s return was delayed.

They made an idol – a  golden calf and started worshiping it.

And the Lord God said to Moses, ” Go get down! For your people whom you brought out of the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves.”

” They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them. They have made themselves a molded calf and worshiped it and sacrificed to it, and said, ” this is your god, O Israel that brought you out of the land of Egypt.

And the Lord said to Moses, ” I have seen this people and indeed it is a stiff-necked people.”

“Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may born hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.

Then Moses went down to see what the people had done.

Then Moses said to the people ” Whoever is on the Lord’s side – come to me!” And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him.

Then Moses said to the people, ” you have committed a great sin, so now I will go up to the Lord, perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.

So Moses returned to the Lord and said,  “Oh, these people have committed a great sin, and have made for themselves a god of gold.”

Yet now, if You will forgive their sin – but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written.”

And the Lord said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.”

” Now therefore, go lead the people to the place of which I have spoken to you.”

” Behold My Angel shall go before you. Nevertheless, in the day when I visit for punishment, I will visit punishment upon them for their sin.”

And Moses made haste and bowed his head toward the earth and worshiped.

Then he said ” If now I have found grace in Your sight, O Lord , let my Lord, I pray, go among us, even though we are a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance.

 

 

Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

God created humanity in His Image, and the breath we breathe comes from Him.

God sustains all life form.

We are His creation, and His dearly beloved children so we need to  humble ourselves under the Mighty hand of God and He will save us.

Prayer

Father God, what a wonderful God You are, You are mighty to save and strong to deliver.

Lord God, I thank You for sending Jesus, Your only Son to redeem me back to You. Thank You for Your great love for me.

Jesus, I thank You for what You did on Calvary’s cross to save me.

I accept You Lord Jesus, as my personal Saviour and Lord. I confess and repent of all my sins. Please forgive me, and save me in Your eternal Kingdom.

Thank you Lord for all that You have done for me. Help me to faithful to the end.

In Jesus name I pray.  Amen.

 

Isaiah 55:8-9

” For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

” For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

 

Psalms 31: 1-5

In You, O Lord, I put my trust, let me never be ashamed. Deliver me in Your righteousness.

Bow down Your ear to me, deliver me speedily. Be my rock of refuge, a fortress of defense to save me.

For You are my rock and my fortress; therefore for Your name’s sake, lead me and guide me.

Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me. For You are my strength.

Into Your hand I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.

 

Ephesians 6:10-11

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles and schemes  of the devil.

 

Isaiah 26:4

Trust in the Lord forever, for in the Lord God Jehovah is everlasting strength.

Isaiah 55:6

Seek the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near.

When you seek the Lord your God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and your soul.

Deut 4:29

When you are in distress and troubles come upon you in the latter days, when you turn to the Lord your God and obey His voice.

He will not forsake you because He is a merciful and loving God.

He will direct your paths.

When you do not know which way to go, call upon the Lord God and He will direct your path.

Seek the Lord God today.

Proverbs 27:1

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.

Don’t brag about tomorrow, for you do not know what tomorrow will bring.

Psalms 95:6

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker.

For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand.

Today, if you will hear His voice; do not harden your heart as in the rebellion, as in the day of trial in the wilderness.
