Matthew 5:11-16

Jesus says, “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.”

“Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavour,  how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot of men”.

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a a hill cannot be hidden.”

“Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.”

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

You are blessed by God, when you are doing the right thing,  and people mock, insult or say all kinds of lies about you.

Great is your reward in heaven, for they did the same things to the prophets who were before you.

Continue to do good deeds, let your light shine for God, so that they will see the good things you do, and glorify your Heavenly Father.

Let your good deeds shine for all to see -Jesus is the light that shines in this evil world.

Live righteous. do good – shine on for Jesus, so they will glorify your Father in Heaven.

Ephesians 1:7

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Ephesians 2:4

But God, Who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us.

Even when we were dead in trespasses, (sins) made us alive together with Christ. (by grace you have been saved).

And raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Once we have accepted Jesus as our personal Saviour and Lord, we are no longer dead in trespasses and sin, but we are alive in Christ Jesus our Lord.

And we are now children of God, saved by faith in God, and the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Saviour.

We have now received the gift of eternal life and will get to live in heaven forever.

This world is passing away. But there is a new heaven and new earth  coming.

And if you want to be in the new heaven and new earth, just accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord, confess your sins, and you will be saved.

 

1 Corinthians 2:14

The natural person does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him nor can they know it, because they are spiritually discerned.

Galatians 5:27-28

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.

Gentleness, self-control, against such there is no law.

 

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy- meditate on these things.

 

Zephaniah 3:17

The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.

Psalms 119:37

Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in Your own way.

Establish Your words to Your servant, who is devoted to serving You.

Romans 5:1-5

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Through Whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulations produces perseverance.

And perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit Who was given to us.

Ephesians 1:13

In Jesus, you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation.

In whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.
