Daily Bible Verses

Matthew 6:34

Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself, sufficient for today is its own trouble.

Philippians 4:19

And my God shall supply all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Do not worry or be anxious about today or about what will happen tomorrow. Trust in God, and tell Him all your concerns and needs.

God will take care of you today and tomorrow, and He will give you what you need. Just have faith and trust in God.

And most important:

Wait on the Lord, and be encouraged because God has everything under control.

God will answer your prayers, you just have to wait on the Lord.

We live in the present time. But God lives in eternity.

Psalms 27:14

Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart. Wait I say, on the Lord.

Be encouraged.

Daily Bible Verses

Hebrews 4:14-16

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Jesus, our great High Priest who is in heaven, knows our weakness, because He was tempted like us, but He did not sin.

Because He sympathizes with our weakness, we can have  confidence and come  boldly to Him, to the throne of grace, and trust in Him to help us in our time of need.

Daily Bible Verses

2 Corinthians 5:20-21

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us; we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

As Christians, we are Christ Ambassadors. God is using us to plead with others to “be reconciled back to God.”

For God made Christ, who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that we can be made right with God through Christ Jesus, our Saviour.

Daily Bible Verses

Seeking God’s face.

Another way you can seek God is by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and Lord.

John 3:16-18

” For God so loved the world that He gave His only  begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

Jesus is the “ Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” John 1:18b

When we accept Jesus as our Saviour and Lord, we are seeking God’s face – God’s Presence.

Jesus died on Calvary’s cross to save us. He was crucified and rose again on the third day.

After His resurrection, He was seen by His twelve disciples, and then by five hundred brethren, and also the apostles.

Corinthian 15:3-7

Jesus died for our sins according to the scriptures, and He was buried, and He rose again on the third day according to the scriptures.

And He was seen by Cephas, and then by the twelve.

After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once.

After that He was seen by James , then by all the apostles.

Then He ascended to Heaven. He will return again to receive all of us who have accepted Him as Saviour and Lord.

Prayer.

Heavenly Father,

I would like to develop a closer relationship with You, and Jesus. Lord, I am seeking to find You, and to draw closer to You each and every day.

Help me to do what is pleasing to You, Lord.

Lord, teach me how to pray.

Lord, guide me as I read Your Holy word, each day. Help me to understand as I read, and also help me to realize that You speak to us through the Bible.

Lord, I worship You because You are the only true and Living God.  I adore You and I exalt and magnify Your Holy Name, and I give You all the glory that is due to You.

Lord, Thank You for loving me, and wanting to reconcile me back to You.

Lord God, I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for my sins. I believe that He is coming again to receive me.

Lord, I accept Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and Lord.

Lord Jesus,  please forgive me of all my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

Dear Lord, please lead guide and direct my life.  I need Your help each and every day to live pleasing to You. Please help me O Lord, I pray.  In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Seeking God’s face

Worship is another way to seek God’s face.

When we worship God we are seeking His face, we are seeking His Presence.

Seeking God is developing an intimate personal relationship with Him.

Seeking God means you are looking to learn more about Him, wanting to learn more about His character, and His Ways.

You are wanting to be in His presence.

James 4:8  ” Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”

Psalm 63:1-3

O God, You are my God, early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You, in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.

So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory.

Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You.

O Come let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker, our Defender, our Redeemer, and our Friend.

For we are the sheep of His pasture. Let us come before His Presence with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise.

God is our Shield and Protector. He is Ancient of Days. And we worship You, O Lord, we give You all the honour, the glory, the praise, and we magnify Your Holy name.

When we worship God – we acknowledge that He is the only true and living God, and acknowledge His Majesty, His Creative Power, His Sustaining Power, and His Amazing Grace.

And we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, realizing how frail and feeble we are.

Therefore, let us continue to;

Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.

Let the wicked forsake their evil ways, and the unrighteous person their evil thoughts, and  return to the Lord, for He will have mercy on us and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.  Isaiah 55:6-7

How to seek God’s face.

Yesterday’s blog was about seeking God through Prayer.

Another way to seek God is by reading His Holy Word.

Psalms 119:105

Your word is a lamp to my feet; and a light to my path.

God’s word enlightens us as we walk through this life, and  keeps us from stumbling around aimlessly in this life.

It is also like a flashlight to light the path ahead and keep us on the straight and narrow road that leads to life eternal.

Psalms 119:11

Your word I have hidden in my heart; that I might not sin against You.

We need to read and memorize God’s word and store them in our hearts so we do not forget them, and God’s Holy word will keep us from sin.

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Psalms 119:41-42

Let Your mercies come also to me, O Lord – Your salvation according to Your word.

So I shall have an answer for him who reproaches me. For I trust in Your word.

Remember the word to Your servant, Your Holy word has given me hope.

Your Holy word, O Lord is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me life.

Your are good O Lord, and You do good.

I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I may keep Your Holy words.

I am afflicted very much. Revive me, O Lord according to Your Holy word.

I rise before the dawning of the morning, and I cry for help; I hope in Your word.

My eyes are awake through the night watches, that I may meditate on Your Holy word.

Great are Your tender mercies, O Lord; revive me according to Your word.

I rejoice at Your word, as one who find great treasure.

Those who love Your laws have great peace, and nothing causes them to stumble.

Lord God, I hope for Your salvation, and I do keep Your commandments.

So another way to seek God’s face is to read and memorize His Holy Word daily. God’s word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.

God’s Holy Word will guide and lead you safely through this evil and sinful world that we live in.

God’s word will keep you from sin.

God’s word is life – life eternal.

“You will seek Me and find Me when You search for Me with all Your heart.”

Praying and reading God’s Holy Bible are two ways of searching for God with all Your heart.

Seeking God’s Face.

1 Chronicles 16:11

“Seek the Lord and His strength. Seek His face evermore.”

Jeremiah 29:12-13

“Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.”

“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”

How do we seek God’s face? How do we seek the Lord?

The Hebrew word for face means “presence”

When we are seeking God’s face, are are seeking ” His Presence”

As Christians we are to seek God’s Presence always.

How do we do that?

Prayer.

When we pray, we are communicating with and seeking God’s Presence in our lives.

Prayer is the heart crying out to God.  Prayer is the delight of the Lord Jesus.

Prayer is seeking God, the Creator of the Universe, the Creator of all life, and Jesus our Saviour and Friend.

When we pray – with a sympathizing heart, Jesus comforts us in our times of distress.

Prayer is telling God all our troubles and concerns. We can confide in Him, and tell Him everything. ( He already knows.) Telling Him our needs and asking for guidance and protection.

Prayer is giving praise and thanksgiving to God for His lovingkindness and tender mercies and His compassions to you.

Prayer is the celebration of the soul. Prayer brings you joy and happiness. Prayer is a balm for the weary soul.

How wonderful it to know that you can talk to, converse with, the Great, Mighty, all Powerful and Awesome God and He hears you.

1 Thessalonians 5:17

Pray without ceasing.

We should always keep the lines of communication open between God and us.

Philippians 4:6

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by Prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
