Mark 11:22

Jesus says, ” Have faith in God.”

Romans 10:17

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

When we hear and listen to the word of God, it helps to build our faith in God.

God’s Holy Word is spiritual food for our soul. It nourishes our soul and spirit, as we walk the Christian pathway.

If we don’t feed on the Word of God, we will become feeble, weak and malnourished Christians.

Beloved, you should love and abide in God’s Word and it will strengthen you and make you a strong Christian, who is able to resist temptations and the schemes of the devil.

So let us always read and listen (eg. sermons) to God’s Holy Word each and every day.

God speaks to us through His Holy Word, and we speak to God when we pray.

 

Isaiah 51:7-8

God says, ” Listen to Me, you who know righteousness. You people in whose heart is My law.”

” Do not fear the reproach of men (people), nor be afraid of their insults.”

“For the moth will eat them up like a garment, and the worm will eat them like wool.”

” But My righteousness will be forever, and My salvation from generation to generation.”

Matthew 5:11-12

Jesus says, ” Blessed are you when they revile you and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.

” Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Do not worry when people say all manner of evil things about you, these people are being used by the devil to depress and discourage you.

Do not be discouraged instead, be encouraged. Jesus is on your side.

People also said all manner of evil about Jesus when He was here on earth. Jesus was perfect and without sin.

He healed the sick, fed the hungry, raised the dead, comforted those who needed comforting. He also died for our sins to redeem us back to God.

Yet people said all kinds of false things against Him.

Jesus tells us not to worry, because they did it to Him and to the prophets before you, and they will do it to you, His followers.

And He also said that you are blessed and your reward will be great in heaven.

So continue to be faithful to God. Jesus has already overcome the devil and sin. We just have to hold on to Jesus and He will help us to be overcomers also.

 

 

 

Matthew 13: 3-9

Jesus told stories in parables, and then He would give the meaning. This is one of His parables.

Jesus said, ” Behold, a sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside, and the birds came and devoured them.”

“Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth.”

“But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away.”

“And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them”.

“But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop; some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

“He who has ears to hear, let hear.”

Then Jesus explained the meaning of the parable.

Jesus said, “Now the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God.

” Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts,   because he does not want them to believe and be saved.

” But those on stony places are those who, when they hear receive the word with joy; but they have no root, they believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away.

“They have no root in themselves, but endure only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they stumble”

” Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with the cares of this world, riches, and pleasures of life, and the desire for other things enter in and choke the word and it becomes unfruitful.”

” But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word, accept it with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

Bearing fruit means doing God’s will and telling others about the plan of salvation, so they can also be saved in God’s Eternal Kingdom.

Some Ways to do this:

Witnessing to Others.

Supporting Ministries financial that have missions to the world; eg. ADRA, The Bible League, World Vision etc.

Sharing Christian  literature with others.

Matthew 5:16

Let your light so shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

 

 

 

 

2 Peter 3:8-9

Beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

The Lord is not really slow about His promise as some people think about slowness.

Instead He is being patient with you, not willing that you should perish, but that you will come to repentance.

Psalms 146:5

Happy are those who have the God of Jacob for their help. Whose hope is in the Lord their God.

Jeremiah 17:7

Blessed are you when you trust in the Lord, and when your hope is in the Lord.

Isaiah 30:18b

For the Lord is a God of justice, blessed are all those who wait for Him.

Isaiah 33:2

O Lord, be gracious to us, we have waited for You, be our arm (our strength) every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

Psalms 27:14

Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, wait, I say, on the Lord.

 

Psalms 63:1-7

O God, You are my God, early will I seek You, my soul thirst for You, my flesh longs for You, in a dry and thirsty land, where there is no water.

So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory.

Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You.

Therefore, I will bless You while I live, I will lift up my hands in Your name.

My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.

When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches.

Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.

Psalms 61:1-2

Hear my cry, O God, attend to my prayer.

From the ends of the earth I will cry to You.

When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the Rock that is higher than I.

2 Samuel 22:2,47

The Lord is my Rock and my fortress and my deliverer, the God of my strength, in whom I will trust.

The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let God be exalted, the Rock of my salvation.

Proverbs 18:10

The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe.

Revelation 5:12

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honour and glory and blessing!

And every creature which is in heaven and on earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:

“Blessing and honour and glory and power, be to Him Who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever!”

John who wrote the book of Revelation had a vision. He states.

In my vision, I heard the singing of millions of angels surrounding the throne and the Living Beings and the Elders, saying with a loud voice.

” The Lamb is worthy to receive power, and riches. and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory and blessing.”

And then I heard everyone in heaven and in earth, and from the dead beneath the earth and in the sea, exclaiming,

” Blessing and honour and glory and blessing belong to Him Who sits on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever.”

And the four Living Beings kept saying “Amen”, and the twenty-four elders fell down and worshipped Him who lives forever and ever.

 

 

 

1 John 5:14

And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

To realize that the prayers that we pray here on earth are heard in heaven is very comforting assurance.

A  little boy fell into a well. For hours the child screamed without anyone coming to the rescue.

Suddenly the tears of the child was interrupted by a voice at the mouth of the well. It was the voice of the child’s father.

“Tommy, is that you down there?  Hope sprang up in that young child’s heart upon realizing he would be saved.

It is so comforting to know that God, our Heavenly Father hears our every prayer.

God is always ready and willing to save us. That’s the reason He sent Jesus to save us from sin and destruction.

Without the plan of salvation, we would be eternally lost, but God loved us so much that He sent Jesus to save us.

It is so reassuring to know that we have a Saviour, who shed His precious blood to save us and reconcile us back to God.

God did everything to save us from sin and destruction. What a loving Heavenly Father and Creator God.

What a mighty God we serve, mighty to save and strong to deliver, and He always hears us when we pray.

Remember to always pray and tell God all your needs and concerns.

God and Jesus hears your every word of prayer.

 

 

 

 

 

Isaiah 40:31

Those who wait on the Lord, shall  renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Psalms 27:14

Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait I say on the Lord.

Lamentations 3:25-26

The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.

It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

When we pray and seek the Lord about some issue, we should wait patiently for the Lord to answer our prayer. God knows what is best for us, so we should have faith and trust in Him.

Also let us continue to walk the narrow pathway and be faithful to God, and wait patiently for the coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

 

 

Romans 3:23-24

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

Yet God in His grace, freely makes us right in His sight. (justifies us).

He did this (redeemed us) through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty of sin, by Jesus’s great sacrifice on Calvary’s cross.

Song.

Marvelous grace of our loving Lord, grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt.

Yonder on Calvary’s mount outpoured, there where the blood of the Lamb was spilled.

Grace, grace, God’s grace, grace that will pardon and cleanse within.

Grace, grace, God’s grace, grace that is greater than all our sins.

Marvelous. infinite matchless grace, freely bestowed on all who believe.

You, who are longing to see His face, will you this moment His grace receive.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your amazing grace, that You made available to redeem me back to You, through Jesus Christ my Lord.

Jesus, I accept You as my personal Saviour and Lord. I confess my sins, and I ask You to please forgive me of all my sins.

Jesus, please wash me in Your precious blood and  cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

Lord, please help me to live for You each and everyday, and also increase my faith in You daily.

I thank You Lord for Your great love for me, Your loving kindness, Your compassion, and tender mercies that are new every morning.

I give You all the honour and the glory, and I praise Your Holy name.
