Psalms 42:5

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, for the help of His countenance.

Why be discouraged and sad? Hope in God! I shall yet praise Him again. Yes, I shall again praise Him for His help.

Psalms 31:24

Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

So cheer up! Take courage if you are depending on the Lord.

Prayer

Father in heaven, Great and mighty God, the only true and living God.

Please forgive us of all our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Please take care of us and keep us safe and healthy during this crisis of Covid-19.

Lord, be with all the front line workers, those who are working hard to contain this evil virus. Please be with those who are working hard to care for those who are sick. Please provide the protective equipment that they need to keep them safe.

Lord, also be with the leaders of the different countries, as they make crucial decisions. Please lead, guide and direct them in their decision making. Also please be with those who are working hard to keep food on the shelves for us.

Lord God, we bring this situation to You. Please erase this evil virus from the earth, and let it be no more. Lord, we need Your divine hand to take full control, we need You now, dear Lord.

We thank You for hearing our prayers. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

 

Psalms 33:20-22

Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.

For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name.

Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, just as we hope in You.

 

1 Peter 5:7

Cast all your cares on God, for He cares for you.

Give all your worries, cares and anxiety to God, for He cares about you and He is always watching over you.

Be anxious about nothing. Pray about everything.

Why worry?  when you can pray.

John 14:1-3

Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God believe also in Me.” In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

” And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

Do not be troubled. You trust in God, trust also in Jesus. He died for our sins, He arose from the dead,  and He is now in heaven.

Jesus is our Mediator and our Advocate in heaven.

1 Timothy 2:5

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and humanity, the Man Christ Jesus.

Jesus is now preparing a place for us in heaven, and He will return to get us,  (those who have accepted Him as their personal Saviour and Lord) so that we will always be with Him where He is.

Jesus is also Mediating and making intercession on our behalf, so that we will be saved.

So do not let your heart and mind be troubled. Pray about everything, and trust in God to work things out for you.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Creator of heaven and earth, we praise You and bless Your holy name.

Lord, we thank You for Your saving grace, and Your great love for us. Please forgive us of all our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Also be with us as we go about our daily lives, protect us from harm and danger. Cover us with Your precious blood Lord Jesus,  protect our health and keep us safe.

Lord, at this time we bring the situation with the CoVid-19 virus to You. Many of us are worried about what is happening. You tell us not to be troubled, and so we bring our concerns to You. Some person may have started this virus by something they did. We don’t know what they are doing, or what they have done. But You know Lord God.

We are confident that we have a God, who can get rid of this virus. So we come to You, and  we ask You, dear Lord, to take full control of this situation, and solve this issue for us. Man cannot solve it, but we know that You can because, “nothing is impossible with God.”

So we leave this situation in Your mighty hands. Lord, we need You to take full control of this situation, because things are out of control here on earth. This virus is spreading all over the world. We need You now, dear Lord God. We have faith and we trust in You dear Lord God to help us. Help us Father God, we pray.

We pray for those who are sick, and those who are grieving. We ask that You heal and comfort them, dear Lord.

We also pray also for the front line workers, the nurses, doctors, technicians, cashiers. Keep them safe and healthy, Lord we pray.

Father God, we thank You for what You are about to do to solve this problem for us. We have nowhere else to turn, but to You dear Lord God.  We are so thankful that You are our Mediator and Advocate, so please Mediate for us O Lord. Please stop this virus in its track and let it be no more.

We thank You for Your mercy, Your grace and compassion and Your great love for us.  We give You all the honour and the praise that is due to You. Thank You for hearing our prayer.

In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

 

 

Psalms 46

God is our refuge and strength, a present help in time of trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, even though the earth be removed , and though the mountains be carried in the midst of the sea.

Though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling.

There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God. The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most high. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved. God shall help her just at the break of dawn.

The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved, He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us, the God of Jacob is our refuge.

Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has made desolations in the earth. He makes war to cease to the end of the earth.

He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two. He burns the chariot in the fire.

Be still, and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

The LORD of hosts is with us; the GOD of Jacob is our refuge.

God is our refuge and strength, a tested help in times of trouble. So we will not fear even if the world blows up, and the mountains crumble into the sea, or the oceans roar; let the mountains tremble.

There is a river of joy flowing through the City of our God – the sacred home of the God above all gods. God, Himself lives in that City, therefore it stands unmoved despite the turmoil everywhere. He will not delay His help.

The nations rant and rave in anger – but when God speaks, the earth melts in submission and earthy kingdoms ruined.

The Lord of hosts is here with us, the God of Jacob will rescue us. Stand still, and know that I am God. I will be honoured by every nation in the world.

The LORD of hosts is here with us, He, the GOD of Jacob, has come to rescue us.

 

Philippians 4:7

The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 26:3

God will keep you in perfect peace, when your mind is stayed on Him, because you trust in God.

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

1 John 1:8-9

If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us form all unrighteousness.

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him, must worship in spirit and truth.

For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all who call upon You.

For the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generation.

Walk in the way of goodness, and keep to the path of righteousness.

 

1 Peter 1:3-6

All honour to God, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ; for it is in His boundless mercy that He has given us the privilege of being born again, so that we are now members of the family of God.

Now we live in the hope of eternal life because Christ Jesus rose again from the dead.

And God has reserved for His children the priceless gift of eternal life, it is in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay.

And God, in His mighty power, will make sure that you get there safely to receive it, because you are trusting Him. You will receive it on that last day.

So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though the going is rough for a while down here.

Ephesians 6:10

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trusts in Him.
