John 14:6

Jesus says ” I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

John 8:32

Jesus says “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”

John  8:34

Jesus says “Whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.”

When we know the truth of the gospel of salvation, we are set  free. We are no longer slaves to sinning, but we are now free in Christ Jesus. We can now live a righteous life through Christ Jesus our Saviour.

John 8:36

Jesus says “Therefore, if the Son of God makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”

Everyone who hears the truth of the gospel, the good news of salvation, about how to be saved, and accepts and trusts in Jesus, is sealed, and is now part of the family of God. When you believed, you were marked as belonging to God, by the Holy Spirit.

 

 

Philippians 4:6-7

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything, tell God your needs and concerns and don’t forget to thank Him for His answers.

If you do this you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your heart quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus, your Saviour.

When we take everything to God in prayer, we wont worry about things, as others do who have no hope. We have hope and trust in God to work everything out for us.

That is not to say that we don’t think about things, but God will keep our thoughts quiet ( we won’t have racing and out of control thoughts) because God the Great Creator is our source of help.

We can take all our concerns and problems to God,  because He is greater than us, and He knows the beginning and the end of everything. So if we have faith and confidence in God, He will give us His peace in the midst of the storm. A peace that the world cannot give us.

Psalms 86:5-6

For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all who call upon You.

6. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, for You will answer me.

Psalms 88:13 To You I have cried out, O Lord, and in the morning my prayer comes before You.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.

Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with  which we ourselves are comforted by God.

What a loving and merciful God we have – He is the Father of our Lord  and Saviour Jesus Christ, and the One who comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials.

Why does He do this? So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort that God has given us.

Psalms 25:1

O Lord, You are my God, I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, for You have done wonderful things, Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

 

Jesus is coming to earth again. What if it were today? Are you ready to meet your Saviour and Lord?

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we shall always be with the Lord.

Therefore comfort one another with these words.

The Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a  commanding shout, and the voice of the archangels, and the trumpet call of God.

And the Christians who are dead, will be the first to rise to meet the Lord. Then we, Christians, who are still alive will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air, and we will  be with the Lord forever. Be comforted by this good news.

 

 

Luke 8:32

Jesus says, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”

Psalms 25:4-5

Show me Your ways, O Lord, teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me.

For You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day.

1 Timothy 2:3-5

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires everyone to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and humanity, the Man Christ Jesus.

Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

God wants us all to be saved, and to understand the truth of salvation. That Jesus died and rose again, to save mankind, and to redeem us back to God, our heavenly Father.

Because of sin there is a great separation between God and man, but Jesus, our Mediator came to reconcile humanity back to God.

This is the Good News of Salvation, and the truth that will set us free from the penalty of sin.

 

Psalms 27:14

Wait on the Lord; be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord.

Psalms 31:24

Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

Do not be impatient, wait on the Lord, and He will save you. Be courageous, yes wait and He will help you.

So cheer up! Take courage as you hope, trust and depend on the Lord.

 

 

 

Psalms 103:1-4

Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forgot not all His benefits.

Who forgives all my iniquities; who heals all my diseases.

Who redeems my life from destruction; who crowns me with lovingkindness and tender mercies.

 

1 Peter 1:3-5

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you.

Who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
