Matthew 21:22

Jesus said,

“And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing you will receive.”

Devotion.

When we pray we must believe and have faith in God, in Jesus that He will do for us what we have asked of Him, and He can do even more than we have asked, or think or even imagine.

Prayer (for you)

Heavenly Father,

My faith looks up to You – Creator God, the Creator of Heaven and earth and everything that exists.

You are the only true and living God and there is no other, but You.

I praise and glorify You now and forever.

O Lord, You know about my needs, so I bring everything to You in prayer, and I ask that You supply my needs according to Your goodness, mercies and compassions.

O Lord, hear my prayer and incline Thy ear to me.

I am praying to You because I know you hear and will answer me, to You O Lord God, I pray.

Lord Jesus, You have said that when we ask, we should believe that we will receive what we have asked for.

I believe in You and I have faith, please increase my faith day by day.

O Lord, I will patiently wait on Your answer to my prayer, because I know that You will.

My trust and hope is in You, O Lord God Almighty.

And I thank You for what You have done for me, and I also thank You in advance for what You will do for me.

O Lord, I will call on You – seek You in prayer with all my heart, soul and mind.

Because You are my Lord, in You I trust, hope and have faith.

I give You the praise and adoration that You, and only You deserve.

In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

Hymn.

I will early seek the Saviour.

I will learn of Him each day.

I will follow in His footsteps.

I will walk the narrow way.

Chorus.

For He love me, yes, He loves me.

Jesus loves me, this I know.

Jesus loves me, died to save me.

This is why I love Him so.

Praise the Lord!

NB. Pray about all your needs, concerns, problems, and believe, have faith, and leave everything to the Lord to order and provide.

And take all our concerns, problems and issues to Him in prayer, because He is the only One Who sees down the corridor of time, and will always do for us what is in our best interests.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal Father,

I have come to seek You in prayer and supplication.

Thank You for the wonderful privilege of prayer that You have given to us – to be able to communicate with the Creator God of the Universe, the Cosmos.

How wonderful it is to know that You hear my prayer, and You listen to every word that I say.

And You are interested in every aspect of my life, and will always do for me what is in my best interest.

O Lord, please help me be obedient to You Holy ways, so that I can be pleasing to You.

And I will receive Your many blessing that You want to bestow on me.

Help me to seek You continually with all my heart soul and mind through prayer and Your Holy Scripture – meditating on Your Holy Scriptures, because I will find You, O Lord God Almighty.

Because Your Holy Word is a ” lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

To show me the way that leads to You, and to eternal life through Jesus Christ, my Saviour.

I give You thanks and praise.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Hymn.

God is working His purpose out.

As year succeeds to year.

God is working His purpose out.

And the time is drawing near.

Nearer and nearer draws the time.

The time that shall surely be.

When the earth shall be filled.

With the glory of God.

As the waters covers the sea, sea.

2.

From utmost east to utmost west.

What-e-er man’s foot hath trod.

By the mouth of many messengers.

Goes forth the voice of God.

Give ear to me, ye continents.

Ye isles, give ear to me.

That the earth shall be filled with the glory of God.

As the waters cover the sea, sea.

Yes, the earth will be filled with the glory of God.

Jesus is coming again.

Let us be ready and stay ready.

Amen.

Thank You for Your loving kindness and all that You have done and will do for me.

O Lord, I know that You always have my best interests in mind, and will do for me more than I can think or imagine.

So my faith, trust and hope in You, and I will patiently wait on You and obey Your Holy Scriptures.

Lord, help me to be of good courage as I patiently wait on You, to do for me, what You and only You, the Creator God can do.

I give You thanks and praise.

In Jesus’ precious name, I pray. Amen.

Praise.

My hope is built on nothing less.

Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.

I dare not trust the sweetest frame.

But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

2.

When He shall come with trumpets sound.

O may I then in Him be found.

Clad in His righteousness alone.

Faultless to stand before the Throne.

Chorus.

On Christ, the solid Rock I stand.

All other ground is sinking sand.

All other ground is sinking sand.

Yes, Jesus is our Rock – the solid Rock.

The Rock of our salvation. Amen.

How wonderful to know that I can pray at anytime, anywhere, I can pray quietly in my mind and You still hear me, because You can read my mind – there is nothing that You do not hear, see or know.

Help me to pray without ceasing – that is to always have an attitude of prayer with the knowledge that You always hear me and will  answer with Your best for me.

If I pray quietly in my mind, You hear me, if I pray aloud, You hear me, so help me to always seek You in prayer.
