Proverbs 9:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Inspiration.

Fearing God means to stand in awe of His Omnipotence (mighty and magnificent power), His Omnipresence, (He is present everywhere), and His all-knowing power (Omniscience).

And His Creative power, His Eternal, Infinite and majestic love and saving grace for us.

And that He was in the beginning before anything, and He created all things and by His power everything exists and was created.

Prayer (for you)

O Lord God,

I exalt, magnify and honour You because You are the only true and living God, and there is no other, but You.

Please help me trust and obey You and be pleasing to You.

My desire is to know more about You, so that I can receive wisdom, knowledge and more understanding of You.

O Lord, I stand in awe of Your magnificent power and majesty, and I glorify and honour, and give You praise and thanks for all that You have done for me.

Thank You for Your eternal and Infinite love for me.

Lord Jesus, please forgive me of every sin and transgression, and save me in Your Eternal Kingdom.

In Your precious name, I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.

 

 

 

 

Luke 11L1

Now it came to pass, as Jesus was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, ” Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples”

So Jesus said to them, ” When you pray, say:

” Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Your Holy Name.

Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

For Thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.”

NB. When we pray we need to ask God to deliver us from the evil one, so that we can resist temptation.

God is always willing to help, guide and direct us away from sinfulness.

And He wants to lead us on the straight and narrow way that leads to life eternal through Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Redeemer.

 

 

 

Psalms 51:10-11

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Do no cast me away from Your Presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

Inspiration.

We sin in our thoughts, actions and words.

So we need our Lord God to create in us new hearts,  new minds to think holy and righteous things.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal Father,

I humbly ask that You create in me a new mind with new new thoughts that lead to holy living, and a mind that is pleasing to You, O Lord God Almighty.

Please grant me  a steadfast spirit to live a holy, God-centered life.

And also I ask for Your Holy Spirit to be always with me to lead, guide and direct me, and help me to understand Your Holy Scriptures.

And guide me in living a holy and consecrated life – wholly committed to walk the Christian pathway that leads to life eternal through Jesus Christ, my Saviour, Redeemer, Advocate, Intercessor and my Friend.

O Lord, please be with me today, and keep me and my family safe and secure under the shadow of Your Wings.

Please keep us as the ” apple of Your Eye”

I give You thanks and praise for blessing me in so many ways,  and for Your continued guidance and direction in my life.

I love and adore, glorify, magnify and exalt You.

In Jesus’ name, I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.

 

 

 

Psalms 40:8

I delight to do Your will O my God, and Your law is within my heart.

Inspiration.

God wants us to be happy to obey His will, because we want to be pleasing to Him.

Prayer (for you)

Heavenly Father,

Please help me to delight to do what is pleasing to You.

And be happy and joyful in doing Your will and obeying Your commandments.

O Lord, I give You thanks and praise for all that You have done for me and still doing for me.

You are such a good God, Who is mighty to save and strong to deliver Your Creation from sin and the arch-enemy.

Please help me to continue to be faithful, keep pressing on to glory and endure to the end in my Christian journey.

Dear Lord, I thank You for Your loving kindness and Your watch care and protection for me and my family from day to day.

I love and adore You.

In Jesus’ name, I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.

 

 

Psalms 51:12

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit.

Inspiration.

When we have sin in our life we can lose the joy of our salvation, so that is the reason why we need to confess and repent of our sins.

So that we can be at peace with God and be joyful in our salvation.

Prayer (for you)

Holy God,

Holy is the Lord God, the Creator of Heaven and earth, the sea, the springs of water, the animals, the vegetation, and You created humanity in Your own Image.

How great You are – You are the all powerful God, (Omnipotent and Omnipresent) and the only true and living God, and there is none but You.

O Lord, I thank You for sending Jesus to be my Saviour.

Lord Jesus, I give You thanks and praise for what You have done to save me from sin.

Please forgive me of every sin thing that I have ever done, and cleanse me with Your precious blood.

Help me to completely consecrated to You, and be Holy Thine.

And please restore to me ” the joy of Your salvation” and give me Your peace – “the peace that surpasses all understanding.”

In Jesus’ Holy name, I pray. Amen.

Omnipotent means God has unlimited power.

Omnipresence means God is present everywhere.

 

 

Psalms 96:6-8a

O come let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker.

For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His Hand.

Today, if you will hear His voice; ” Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.

Inspiration.

Today is the Sabbath day, a day that God blessed and sanctified. He made the Sabbath a holy day, a day of rest and gladness.

So let us worship the Lord in ” the beauty of holiness.”

Prayer (for you)

Our loving Heavenly Father,

Thank You the Sabbath day. A holy day of rest and gladness.

A day to worship You in Spirit and in truth.

The Sabbath day reveals Your Creative power, because You did Your Creative work in six days and then You rested on the seventh day, the Sabbath to set an example for us to follow.

O Lord, I praise, glorify, honour and exalt You.

And I thank You for Your Infinite loving kindness, compassions and tender mercies to me.

Please help to trust and obey You, for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey You, O Lord God Almighty.

In Jesus’ precious name, I pray. Amen.

 

 

 

 

 

Psalms 27:14

Wait on the Lord and be of good courage, and He will strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord.

Inspiration.

When we take our challenges and distresses to the Lord, let us be patient and wait on Him.

Because He knows the best way and time to answer our requests.

Prayer (for you)

Heavenly Father,

How wonderful to know that I can come to You with every care and concern that I have, and You will hear my prayer and answer me with the best for me.

O Lord, I know that You answer many prayers immediately and sometimes I will have to wait on Your perfect timing.

Please help me and give me the patience that I need to humbly wait on You, and not get discouraged as I wait for You to do the best for me, and at the perfect time.

I know that Your timing is always perfect, so please help me to stay encouraged and strengthen me as I wait on You.

O Lord, You know everything, sees everything, and You live in eternity, while I live in the present time.

So therefore, You know what to do for me, and when to do for me what is in my best interest.

I praise and thanks You for Your loving kindness, tender mercies and compassions to me.

In Jesus’ precious name, I pray. Amen.

 

 

 

Psalms 25:14-15

The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant.

My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for He shall pluck my feet out of the net.

Inspiration.

To fear the Lord is to stand in awe of His Mighty power, His all knowing, all seeing power, His Eternal power and His Creative power.

He is the Source and Sustainer of all life. He gives us the breath that we breathe.

Everything that exists was created by our all powerful God.

And He alone is God and there is no other.

So we should fear – stand in awe and amazement and wonder at His Mighty power.

And if we seek the Lord and spend time in His Holy Scriptures – His Holy Word, He will ” show us great and might things that we do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

Prayer (for you)

Holy Heavenly Father,

Thank You for another day when I can seek You in prayer and petition.

I give You praise and thanks for the privilege of prayer when I can come to You and tell You about all my challenges and troubles, and whatever I am concerned about.

And You hear me and will lead, guide and direct my steps in Your good and perfect way.

O Lord, You are a good God, a God Who loves me with an everlasting, eternal love.

I stand in awe and wonder at Your Mighty and Magnificent power and abilities.

O Lord, please show me great and mighty things that I do not know.

Please give me Your wisdom, knowledge and understanding and guide me in Your truth.

You are the only true and living God and there is no other God, but You.

Dear Lord, I thank You for sending Jesus to be my Redeemer and Saviour.

Lord Jesus, I thank You for paying the penalty for my sins.

I glorify, honour, love and adore You.

And I magnify Your Holy Name.

In Holy name, I pray. Amen.

 

 

 

 

 

Psalms 19:14

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your Sight.

O Lord, my Strength and my Redeemer

Inspiration.

Let us ask the Lord to teach us how to be pleasing to Him, so that we will speak, think and act in ways that glorify and honour Him.

Prayer (for you)

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for another day when I can glorify, honour and exalt You, O Lord God Almighty.

Please teach me Your ways, and help me to be pleasing to You.

I want to be acceptable in Your Sight, so I ask for Your continued help in doing what is pleasing to You.

I humbly ask that You help me to never give up, and help me to  keep pressing on to glory and endure to the end in my Christian journey.

As Your Holy Scripture says ” those who endure to the end will be saved.”

In Jesus’ name I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.

 

2 Samuel 7:22

Therefore You are great, O Lord God, for there is none like You, nor is there any God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

Inspiration.

Creator God is the only true and living God and there is no other.

Prayer (for you)

Lord God,

You alone are God.

I worship, praise and honour You.

Thank You for Your Infinite love, tender mercies, compassions and amazing grace.

Yes,” amazing grace, how sweet the sound. I once was lost but now I am found, was blind but now I see.”

O Lord, I now understand Your Plan of Salvation to save me.

Please give me more knowledge and understanding of Your Holy Scriptures, and Your holy and perfect way.

My ears have heard about Your Plan of Salvation to save Your Creation from sin and destruction.

And I have read in Your Holy Scriptures of Your salvation so rich and free.

I understand that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.

And I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on Calvary’s cross for my redemption, and I have accepted Him as my Saviour and Lord of my life.

Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!

Thank You for Your Infinite love, and Your watch care and protection.

O Lord, keep me as the ” apple of Your Eye.”
