Hebrews 11:1

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Inspiration.

Faith is total confidence in God, His promises and that He will do what He says He will do.

God is completely capable of doing what we cannot do, He is God, the all-powerful, all-knowing, present everywhere at the same time God, and He is able to do more than we ask or think, and He Who promised is faithful.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal Father,

My faith and total confidence is in You, O Lord God the Almighty.

Creator God, Source and Sustainer of my life, and You give me the breath that I breathe.

I pray and ask that You increase my faith in You more and more each and every day.

O Lord, I humble ask that You do for me what You know is best, good, perfect and holy.

Please provide for my needs, dear Lord, You know what my needs are, so I bring everything to You at this time.

And I leave them with You, knowing that nothing is impossible for us to do.

Thank You for Your loving watch care and protection from day to day.

My faith, hope, trust and total confidence is in You, the only true and living God, Who is forever faithful to us – Your creation.

Faithful to save me, faithful to provide for me, and faithful to show me the way, the truth and the life, because Jesus, You are the way, the truth and the life.

Faithful to make me part of Your Heavenly family, faithful to give me the gift of the Holy Spirit to comfort me in my distress and teach me Your holy ways.

And faithful to lead and guide me as I journey along the Christian way, and give me the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ, my Saviour.

O Lord Jesus, by faith I believe and I accept You as my Saviour, and I look forward to that wonderful day when I will see You face to face in all Your power and magnificent glory.

O Lord, please keep me faithful to the end, and save me in Your Eternal Kingdom.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Hymn.

My faith looks up to Thee.

Thou Lamb of Calvary.

Saviour Divine.

Now hear me while I pray.

Take all my guilt away.

O let me from this day, be wholly Thine.

2.

May Thy rich grace impart.

Strength to my fainting heart.

My zeal inspire.

As Thou hast died for me.

O may my love to Thee.

Pure, warm, and changeless be.

A living fire.

3.

While life’s dark maze I tread.

And griefs around me spread.

Be Thou my Guide.

Bid darkness turn to day.

Wipe sorrow’s tears away.

Nor let me ever stray.

From Thee a-side.

Praise the Lord!
