2 Timothy 3:14,15,16

But you must continue in the things that you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them.

And that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

All Scriptures is given by inspiration of God, and profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

Devotion.

The Word of God was inspired – God breathed.

The Lord God chose holy individuals to communicate His message to the world.

Through these holy individuals God gave His Holy Scriptures to the world, to instruct us in righteousness, to correct us, and to help us as we face the storms of life.

And to guide us as we journey along the straight and narrow way.

And to give us strength for today and hope for tomorrow.

Prayer (for you)

Heavenly Father,

Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God the Almighty God.

Thank You for Your Holy Scriptures that gives me strength for today and hope for tomorrow.

And leads and guide me as I journey along the narrow pathway, and corrects me, instructs me in paths of righteousness, and give me strength for today and hope for tomorrow.

And strengthen me as I put my complete faith, trust, confidence and hope in You, my Creator God.

What a loving, kind, compassionate and merciful God, You are.

You are Mighty to save and strong to deliver Your creation from sin.

Please keep me and my family in Your loving watch care and protection today.

Again, I thank You Lord God, Lord Jesus, for Your Holy Scriptures that was inspired by You, is God breathed.

Your instruction book to us, to lead us in the paths of holiness, godliness, righteousness and save us from sin.

I love and adore You.

In Jesus’ precious name, I pray. Amen.

Hymn.

Give me the Bible, star of gladness gleaming.

To cheer the wanderer lone and tempest tossed

No storm can hide that peaceful radiance beaming.

Since Jesus came to seek and save the lost.

Chorus.

Give me the Holy Bible, holy message shining.

Thy light shall guide me in the narrow way.

Precept and promise, law and love combining.

‘Till night shall vanish in eternal day.

2.

Give me the Bible when my heart is broken.

When sin and grief have filled my soul with fear.

Give me the precious words by Jesus spoken.

Holy up faith’s lamp to show my Saviour near.

3.

Give me the Bible, all my steps enlighten.

Teach me the dangers of these realms below.

That lamp of safety, o’er the gloom shall brighten.

That light alone the path of peace can show.

Give me the Bible, holy message shining.

Thy light shall guide me in the narrow way.

Precept and promise, law and love combining.

‘ Till night shall vanish in eternal day.

Amen.
