Psalms 85:7-9

Show us Your mercy, Lord, and grant us Your salvation.

I will hear what God the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints; but let them not turn back to folly.

Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him; that glory may dwell in our land.

Devotion.

God is so loving, merciful and compassionate, good and gracious to us. He will give us His peace and His salvation and He will dwell within our hearts when we accept Him.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal Father,

Thank You for Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

And for Your loving kindness, tender mercies and compassions that are new every day.

O Lord, I stand in awe of Your Mighty power and Majesty, how great You are.

My God the only true and living God never changes, He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Please help me to be steadfast in my Christian journey, and also help me not to get entangled in the folly – the sinfulness of this corrupt world.

Lord Jesus, please cleanse me from all sin and make me totally devoted to You and be pleasing to You in all my ways.

I ask that You be with me and my family today, please keep us safe and secure in Your loving care.

I praise and adore You, O Lord God Almighty.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Hymn.

Come ye disconsolate , where ere ye languish.

Come to the mercy seat, fervently kneel.

Here bring your wounded hearts, here tell your anguish.

Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.

2.

Joy of the comfortless, light of the straying.

Hope of the penitent, fadeless and pure!

Here speaks the Comforter, tenderly saying.

Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot cure!

3.

Here see the Bread of life; see waters flowing.

Forth from the Throne of God, pure from above.

Come to the feast of love – come ever knowing.

Earth has no sorrow but Heaven can remove.

Yes, the Lord heals, cures, restores and will give us the joy of His salvation.

Amen.
