2  Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Devotion.

The Lord is very, very patient with us.

He has made a way for us to be saved, and He has also given us free will to choose or reject salvation.

However, those who reject His offer of salvation so rich and free will have to pay the penalty for their own sins – eternal death.

Jesus has already paid the penalty for our sins, so let us believe in Jesus and accept Him as our Saviour.

Yes, choose Jesus as your Saviour and you will receive God’s gift of eternal life.

Prayer (for you)

Heavenly Father,

Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty, the great ” I Am.”

The Creator God of heaven and earth and everything that exists.

Thank You for another day to seek You in prayer and supplication.

A time to grow in grace and in the knowledge and understanding of You, Lord God.

Thank You for Your Plan of Salvation so rich and free to everyone who comes to You seeking to be saved from sin.

O Lord, how loving, kind, compassionate and of tender mercies You are toward us.

You are not willing that anyone should perish, that is the reason You are so longsuffering (so patient with us)  waiting on us to make our ” call and election sure.”

Lord Jesus, I believe in You, and I accept You as my Saviour and Lord.

I repent of every sin and I ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing with Your precious blood.

As the Holy Scriptures says, ” choose Jesus and live.”

I choose You Lord Jesus, as my Saviour and I thank You for the gift of eternal life through Your great sacrifice of love for me.

I look forward to that wonderful day when I will see You face to face in all Your power and magnificent glory as King of kings and Lord of lords.

Lord Jesus, please continue to lead and guide me in Your Holy ways.

I love and bless Your Holy name, Lord Jesus.

Amen.

Hymn.

The judgement is set the books has been opened.

How shall we stand in that great day.

When every thought, and word, and every action.

God, the righteous Judge, shall weigh?

Chorus.

How shall we stand in that great day?

How shall we stand in that great day?

Shall we be found before Him wanting?

Or with our sins all washed away?

2.

The work has began with those who are sleeping.

Soon will the living here be tried.

Out of the books of God’s remembrance.

His decision to abide.

3.

O, how shall we stand that moment of searching.

When all our sins that book reveal?

When from that court, each case decided.

Shall be granted no appeal.

Chorus.

How shall we stand in that great day?

How shall we stand in that great day?

Shall we be found before Him wanting?

Or with our sins all washed away?

Yes, Lord Jesus, I have accepted You, I have repented of every sin, and I know my sins are all washed away.

Praise the Lord! Glory, Hallelujah!

Amen.
