Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering (patience), kindness, goodness, faithfulness.

Gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Devotion.

When we accept Jesus as our Saviour, the Holy Spirit’s responsibility is to make us more and more like Jesus, our Saviour. And to teach us and guide us so that we learn to depend on God, on Jesus for everything and seek the Lord with all our heart, soul and mind.

And then we will exhibit the fruit of the Holy Spirit and be more like Jesus.

We cannot do this on our own, but the Holy Spirit will lead, guide, and teach us, help us, show us how to live our lives pleasing to God, and exhibit His characteristics.

Prayer (for you)

Creator and Heavenly Father,

Holy You are.

Thank You for all that You have done for me – done for the human race to save and redeem us from sin and destruction.

Thank You for sending Jesus to be my Saviour.

O Lord, please fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I can be more like You, and exhibit Your characteristics and be pleasing to You in all my ways.

O Lord, You know that I cannot do this on my own, because of sinfulness, but I know that You will help me – Your Holy Spirit will help and teach me how to do what is pleasing to You.

Help me to have the fruit of the Holy Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Dear Lord, I ask for the gift of Your Holy Spirit to be my helper, my guide, my teacher, my comforter as I journey along the Christian pathway and be with me every day.

I give You thanks and praise and I love and adore You.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Genesis 2:1-7

Thus the Heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished.

And on the Seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the Seventh day from all His work which He had done.

Then God blessed the Seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God has created and made.

This is the history of the Heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the Heavens.

Before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man  to till the ground.

But a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.

Devotion.

Our Creator God rested from all His creative work and rested on the Sabbath day from all HIs work that He had created and made.

He set an example for us to rest on the Seventh day because God knew that we would need a day of rest from all our work and activities of the week.

The Lord blessed the Seventh day and sanctified it,  and it is a Holy day unto the Lord, in that He rested from all His creative work, setting an example for us to follow.

And in God’s commandments we are told to ” Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy, six days you shall labour and do all your work, but the Seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord our God, and in it we shall do no work.

We should worship, praise, magnify, glorify and exalt the Lord God on His Holy Sabbath day.

And give Him all the worship, praise love and adoration that our Creator God, the only true and living God deserves.

Prayer (for you)

Creator God.

I worship, praise and glorify You on this Your Holy Sabbath day.

A day You blessed and made holy.

You rested from all Your creative work on the seventh day, setting an example for us to follow.

Because You created us and You knew that we would need a day of rest, and a day to worship, praise and adore the Lord God, the Almighty Creator God.

Thank You for all that You have done for us.

I love and adore, worship and praise You.

In Jesus’ name, I pray with thanksgiving.

Genesis 1:24-31

Then God said, ” Let the earth bring forth the living creatures according to its kind; cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”, and it was so.

So God said. ” Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

And God said, ” See I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields  seed; to you it shall be for food.”

” Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air; and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so.

Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.

So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Devotion.

Creator God creator all all things in six days by speaking the word, and it was done, and God saw that it was very good.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal Creator God,

Thank You for creating the Heavens and the earth, Light for us to see, less light so that we can sleep -Day and Night.

The sun to rule the day, and the stars and moon to rule the night.

Creating the waters, the seas, the grass, the herb yielding food, the fruit trees, the the seasons for day and years.

Creating the animals, sea creatures, flying birds, cattle, beast of the field and creeping animals, and everything that exists.

God created everything by just speaking the word and it was done.

God said, ” Let there be” and it was done.

What a Mighty God, You are.

I praise, glorify and exalt You, O Lord God, the Creator and Almighty God.

In Jesus’ name, I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.

Praise to the Lord, the King of creation.

Tenderly He shields and spares us.

Well our feeble frame He knows.

Genesis 1:20-23

Then God said, ” Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let the birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.”

So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded; according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”

So the evening and the morning was the fifth day.

Devotion.

Creator God created the sea creatures, the birds, and every living thing that moves.

Prayer (for you)

Heavenly Father,

How great and powerful You are.

So loving, kind and compassionate to us – Your creation.

I love and adore You and bless and glorify You for all that You have done for us.

And for life, health, strength and Your watch care and protection  from day to day.

In Jesus’ name, I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.

Genesis 1:9-13

Then God said, ” Let the waters under the Heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear:; and it was so.

And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.

Then God said, ” Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so.

And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it as good.

And the evening and the morning were the third day.

Devotion.

God created the earth, the seas, the grass, the herb, fruit and all seed for food on the third day.

Prayer (for you)

Creator God,

You are so wonderful You are to us – Your creation. You created all things that exist and were created.

I give You all the honour, glory, praise and thanks for Your Infinite love, goodness, tender mercies and compassions, and for providing for me in every way.

O Lord, I love and adore You and bless Your Holy Name.

In Jesus’ name, I pray with thanksgiving.

O God, my help in ages past.

And my hope for years to come.

My shelter from the stormy blasts of life.

Genesis 1:6-8

Then God said, ” Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”

Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so.

And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.

Devotion.

Creator God made the firmament, the Heavens and the earth and divided the waters that are above the Heavens from the waters that are below the Heavens on the second day.

Prayer (for you)

Creator God, my Heavenly Father,

Holy and Righteous, You are.

You are the only true and living God, and there is no other, but You.

You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.

I love and adore You and bless Your Holy name.

Thank You for  the creating the firmament – (the Heavens) and dividing the waters above from the waters below the firmament.

O Lord God, You alone are the Creator God, all wise and all-powerful.

I love and adore You and bless Your Holy name.

The history of Creation.

Genesis 1:1-5

In the beginning God created the Heavens and the earth.

The earth was without form and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Then God said, ” Let there be light” and there was light.

And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.

God called the light Day and the darkness He call Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.

Devotion.

Our Creator God spoke the words and the created, on the first day He created Day and Night.

Only God can created something out of nothing, He is all-powerful and can do anything, through His creative power He shows His Infinite love for us, His creation.

Creator God,

How great You are. You created all things and by Your will they exist and were created.

You just spoke the word and the Heavens and the earth were created.

Thank You for creating the Day and the Night.

What a Mighty and Powerful God, You are.

And You are Mighty to save us, Your creation from sin and destruction.

Thank You for Your amazing grace and Plan of Salvation.

We have so much to be thankful for, so let us give the Lord God our thanks, our praise and our adoration.

Prayer (for you)

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the privilege of prayer, and for another day to seek You with all my heart, soul and my mind.

Thank You for Your loving kindness, tender mercies, compassions, providing for my needs, Your loving watch care and protection from day to day.

And for Your amazing grace and Plan of Salvation, Your forgiveness of my transgressions, iniquity – all my sins.

Lord God, thank You for sending Jesus to be my Saviour, Redeemer, Advocate, Intercessor, Good Shepherd and my Friend.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for being the ” Lamb of God” Who takes away the sins of the world – anyone who comes to You, believing in You, having faith and accepting You as their Saviour, will be saved.

What a wonderful, loving and compassionate God, You are, Mighty to save and strong to deliver Your creation from sin and destruction.

O Lord, please help me to resist the temptations of the devil and keep me safe and secure from all alarms.

Lord Jesus, also help me to keep going forward in faith, and endure in my Christian journey, looking to You, “the Author and Finisher”  (developer) of my faith.

Lord Jesus, I look forward to that wonderful day when I will see You face to face in all Your majesty and glory.

Devotion.

We have so much to be thankful to the Lord for from day to day.

For His Salvation so rich and free, for His forgiveness, His loving kindness, tender mercies and compassions. His provisions, His protection and answered prayers.

And for sending Jesus to be our Saviour and Redeemer and for life eternal.

So let us give thanks to the Lord God for He is good and His tender mercies endures forever and ever.

Eternal Father,

I give You thanks and praise for all that You have done for me, what You are doing and will continue to do for my good.

Thank You for Your Infinite love and tender mercies to me.

O Lord, You deserve my praise and adoration, because You are the only true and living God, all the others are made of sticks and stone.

But You Creator God, You created all things, and You are the Source and Sustainer of all life, and the breath that we breathe comes from You.

What a great and Mighty God, You are.

I love You Lord, with all my heart, soul and mind, and I thank You for always being there to help, lead, direct and guide me along the narrow way that leads to life eternal.

O Lord, I thank You, praise You and bless Your Holy name.

Deuteronomy 13:4

” You shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him.”

Devotion.

Let us worship, praise and glorify the Lord God, our Creator God, and have faith and trust in Him, and obey Hs commands.

God gives us hope for the future through Jesus Christ, our Saviour, Who has made a way for us to be part of the family of God and receive God’s gift of eternal life, so let us follow Him all the way.

Prayer (for you)

Heavenly Father,

I worship and adore You and bless Your Holy name.

I stand in awe of Your Mighty power, and I give You all the worship and praise that You, and only You deserve.

And I glorify, magnify, honour and exalt You now and forever.

Your loving kindness, tender mercies and compassions never fail, they are new every morning.

Great is Your faithfulness to me, O Lord the Almighty Creator God.

Lord, my desire is to walk in Your Holy ways – to follow You all the way so that I can be saved in Your Eternal Kingdom.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for paying the penalty for my sins, for shedding Your precious, Holy blood for my redemption and salvation.

What a wonderful God, a wonderful Saviour You are.

Thank You for Your amazing grace and Plan of Salvation to save us – the human race from the arch-enemy of our souls.

My sincere desire is to be forgiven, saved and sanctified and get to live with You, Lord Jesus in Heavenly places.

Grant it Jesus, is my plea.

Please keep me on the straight and narrow pathway that leads to You, and to life eternal.

I humbly ask You to continue to be my life’s guide as long as this earthly life shall last and guide me to eternal life.

Lord Jesus, thank You for being ” the way, the truth and the life. Eternal life only comes through You.

Lord Jesus, I look forward with great anticipation to that wonderful day when You will return in all Your power and magnificent glory as King of kings and Lord of lords with all the Holy angels with You.

Also I look forward to seeing You face to face in all Your glory and majesty, and be with You forever and ever – that will be glory for me.

Lord, help me to follow You all the way and be faithful in my Christian journey, and help me to endure to the end regardless of what may happen, so that I will among the redeemed of the earth.

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.
