Psalms 95:1-8
Oh, come let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before His Presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
For the Lord is the great God, and the great King above all gods.
In His Hand are the deep places of he earth; the heights of the hills are His also.
The sea is His, for He made it; and His Hands formed the dry land..
Oh, come let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His Hand.
Today, if you will hear His voice; do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, as in the day of trial in the wilderness.
Devotion.
Our God is Almighty, Majesty, Holy, all powerful, all-knowing and -all-seeing.
So let us humble ourselves in His Holy Presence, for He is our Maker and Creator.
Also let listen to the Lord through His Holy words, and show our faithfulness to our Creator God by our humble obedience.
Prayer (for you)
Heavenly Father,
Holy, Righteous, Majestic, the Almighty God, Creator of Heaven and the earth and everything that exists.
I give You all the praise and thanks that You deserve.
You are the only true and living God, and there is no other, but You.
You are the Source and Sustainer of my life, and You give me the breath that I breathe.
I worship, glorify, magnify and adore You, O Lord God Almighty.
Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty, heaven and earth are praising and worshipping You.
Thank You this Holy Sabbath day, a day of joy and gladness, a day of rest, a day to worship You in Spirit and in truth.
Thank You for Your loving kindness, tender mercies and compassions to me.
Help me to trust and obey You in all my ways, because there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey our Lord.
I love You, Lord.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Hymn.
Holy Sabbath day of rest.
By our Saviour richly blest.
God created and divine.
Set aside for holy time.
Chorus.
Yes, the Holy Sabbath rest.
By our God divinely blest.
It to us a sign shall be.
Through-out all eternity.
2.
Seek not pleasures of this earth.
With its folly, noise and mirth.
There are better things in store.
Over on the other shore.
3.
As the Sabbath draw-eth on.
Friday evening at set of sun.
Christian house-hold then should meet.
Sing and pray at Jesus’ feet.
4.
Asking Him for saving grace.
Also victory in the race.
And to help us by His power.
To keep holy every hour.
Chorus.
Yes, the holy Sabbath rest.
By our God divinely blest.
It to us a sign shall be.
Through-out all eternity.
Praise the Lord! Amen.
