Psalms 139:7-12
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your Presence?
If I ascend to heaven, You are there. If I make my bed in hell You are there.
If I take the wings of the morning. and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea.
Even there Your Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.
If I say, ” surely the darkness shall fall on me, ” even the night shall be light about me.
Indeed the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day.
The darkness and the light are both alike to You.
Devotion.
The Psalmist David asks the above question and God answers the question in Jeremiah 23:24
” Can anyone hide himself in secret places, so I shall not see him?” says the Lord, ” Do I not fill heaven and earth?”
Let us be very thankful that this means that the Lord God is with us regardless of where we are – we cannot hide from God anywhere, and no one and nothing can prevent us from seeking shelter in His loving arms.
Prayer (for you)
Heavenly Father,
I give You thanks and praise for always being there for me.
How wonderful to know that You are everywhere and also close to me.
Lord, You see and know everything and nothing is hidden from Your view and knowledge.
Therefore, I can seek You at anytime and anywhere because ” You fill the Heaven and the earth, and no one and nothing can be hidden from You.
And no matter what may happen, You, Lord God are still in control.
I look forward to that wonderful day when sin, evil, wickedness will be no more, and You will make all things new.
Lord Jesus, please continue to lead and guide me and help me to be among Your redeemed of the earth.
I love and adore You and give You thanks and praise for Your Infinite love, Your goodness, Your mercies and Your forgiveness.
