1 Peter 2:24-25
Jesus personally carried our sins in His own body when He died on the cross, so that we sin no more, and live a righteous and good life from now on. For His wounds have healed us.
Like sheep you wandered away from God, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
Jesus, could have called ten thousand angels to set Him free from the evil people who demanded that He be crucified but He died to set us free from the savages of the devil and sin.
Isaiah 53:6
We are all like sheep and have gone astray, we have turned everyone to his own way, and the Lord laid on Jesus the iniquity of us all.
