1 John 5:3
This is the love of God, that we keep His commandments.
And His commandments are not burdensome.
Inspiration.
Let us ask the Lord to help us to be obedient to His commandments and then it will be a joy and not burdensome.
God will help us to be obedient and we will be glad and rejoice in the God of our salvation, our Creator God.
Prayer.
Eternal & Holy Father,
Thank You for the Holy Sabbath day – a day of joy and gladness.
A day to praise and worship You, magnify, exalt and adore You, my Creator God, Source and Sustainer of my life.
Please help me to be obedient to You, and keep Your Holy Commandments.
O Lord, I am weak but You are strong, so I need Your help to do what is pleasing to You.
So please help me and enable me by the power of Your Holy Spirit to be pleasing to You in everything that I do.
And help me to find the joy and gladness in being a obedient Christian, and give You all the honour and glory that You, and only You deserve.
As the song says, ” Trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.”
” When in fellowship sweet we will sit by His feet, or we will walk by His side in the way.”
” What He says we will do, where He sends we will go, never fear, only trust and obey.
“Trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.”
