Daily Bible Verses

Matthew 9:35-36

Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the Kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

When He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered like sheep having no shepherd.

Inspiration.

Jesus was always doing good to the people, showing compassions to them by healing the sick, feeding the people, and also ministering and teaching them about God’s Plan of Salvation.

Jesus is the Good Shepherd Who takes care of the sheep, (of us), and leads us in paths of righteousness.

Jesus saves us from the wolf – the devil who wants to destroy us.

Prayer (for you)

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for another day when I can come boldly to Your Throne of grace, where I will find help in my time of need.

How wonderful to have the privilege of prayer when I can communicate with the Sovereign God of the Universe.

And God hears my prayer – my every word, and will do for me what is in my best interests.

O Lord, I am so thankful to You for Your compassions, tender mercies, and Your eternal, everlasting and abundant love for me.

Lord Jesus, I humbly ask that You forgive me of all my sins, and cleanse me with Your precious blood.

As Your Holy Words says, ” You will forgive all my sins, never to remember them no more.”

Lord Jesus, I thank You for also being my Good Shepherd, who leads, direct and guides me in the path that leads to life eternal.

And protects me from the devil’s deception and schemes.

Thank You Lord God, for giving me wisdom and discernment.

And helping me to understand that there is a “cosmic conflict” going on – between evil and good.

But Lord Jesus, You have already won the battle over sin and the devil.

And it is only a matter of time when You will return, and the conflict will be over forever.

I look forward to that wonderful day.

Please help me to be ready and stay ready, for You could come at any time.

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your loving watch and protection from day to day.

Praise the Lord!

In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Hymn.

Under His Wings I am safely abiding.

Though the night deepens and tempest are wild.

Still I can trust Him; I know He will keep me.

He has redeemed me, and I am His child.

2.

Under His Wings, what a refuge in sorrow!

How the heart yearningly turns to its rest!

Often when earth has no balm for my healing.

There I find comfort, and there I am blest.

3.

Under His Wings, O what precious enjoyment!

There will I hide till life’s trials are o’er.

Sheltered, protected, no evil can harm me.

Resting in Jesus I’m safe evermore.

Chorus.

Under His Wings, under His Wings.

Who from His love can sever?

Under His Wings my soul shall abide.

Safely abide forever.

Praise the Lord!
