Hebrews 12:2

Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Inspiration.

” Jesus endured the pain, scorn, sorrow, rejection, and betrayal of the Cross for the joy set before Him.”

” It was enough to keep Him focused and stop Him from answering His accusers.”

” What was the overcoming joy? Us. (We are the overcoming joy).  Jesus looked forward to fulfilling the purpose for which He came, which was to restore our relationship with God, and with Him.” Quote from Charles Stanley.

Prayer (for you)

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for sending Jesus to be my Saviour and Redeemer.

Thank You Lord Jesus, for coming to earth and paying the penalty for my sins.

And to reconcile me back to Your Father, my Heavenly Father, the Almighty God, Sovereign God of the Universe.

What a great and wonderful sacrifice of love to save the human race from sin, and make us part of the family of God.

Washed in the fountain (baptized) and cleansed in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

Such love, such compassions, such tender mercies towards us, Your creation.

Mere words are not enough to express my thanks and gratitude to You, for what You have done for me (for humanity) to save us, and reconcile us back into a relationship and communion with Almighty God.

Thank You Lord Jesus, for being the Author and Finisher – the Perfector and Developer of my faith.

I look to You, I praise and adore You, glorify and exalt You.

Praise the Lord! Glory Hallelujah.

In Jesus’ precious name, I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.

Hymn.

To God be the glory great things He has done.

So loved He the world that He gave us His Son.

Who yielded His life an atonement for sin.

And opened the life gate that all may go in.

Chorus.

Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, let the earth hear His voice.

O come to the Father, through Jesus, the Son.

And give Him the glory, great things He has done.

2.

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood.

To every believer the promise of God.

The vilest offender who truly believes.

That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

3.

Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done.

And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son.

But purer and higher, and greater will be.

Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.

Chorus.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear His voice.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice.

O come to the Father, through Jesus, the Son.

And give Him the glory, great things He hath done.
