Philippians 4:8

Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure….. meditate on these things.

Inspiration.

Let us meditate on good, holy, truth and uplifting noble thoughts instead of sinful thoughts.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal God,

How great You are, how holy, loving, compassionate just and of tender mercies.

Please help me to think good, holy, lovely, pure, noble and true thoughts.

Guide me in what I read, watch, and listen to, because whatever I mediate on will affect my thinking process.

Also please help me to resist the ideas of sinful associates and activities.

I need Your strength and help to resist the temptation to watch and listen to worldly sinful things.

As Your Holy Scriptures says,

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.James 4:7-8a

O Lord, please help me to resist the sinful suggestions of others – worldly friends and acquaintances.

O Lord, I want to be pleasing to You, in everything that I do, what I say, and what I allow to influence me.

Help me not to be influenced by the sinful things of this world.

O Lord, please be my life’s guide as I journey along the Christian pathway.

O Lord,  help me to submit to You, draw near to You so that You can help me to resist the evil devices of the arch-enemy.

I praise, give You thanks, and I love and adore You. O Lord God Almighty.

Psalms 119:165

Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble.

Inspiration.

True peace comes only from our Creator God, and when we are obedient to Him, to His commandments, He will give us His peace that surpasses all understanding.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal Father,

Thank You for Your peace – great perfect peace that only You can give.

Please help me keep holy all Your commandments.

Lord God, Your commandments that are there to protect, lead, guide and direct us along life’s journey, along the Christian pathway.

Your commandments keeps society safe, keep people safe, and keep Your redeemed on the straight and narrow way that leads to life eternal through Jesus Christ.

Please forgive me of all my sins, whether in words, thoughts, or actions, and if I have failed in keeping Your commands, please forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

Help me not to sway from Your commandments. but to be obedient to my Creator God, the Source and Sustainer of my life.

O Lord, please keep me safe and secure under the Shadow of Your Wings, and show me what I need to know, and need to do.

And save me in Your Eternal Kingdom.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

 

 

Psalms 116:1-2

I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and my supplications.

Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.

Inspiration.

God hears our prayers at all times. His Ear is always open to our cry for help, for forgiveness, guidance, protection and for our soul salvation.

Prayer (for you)

O Lord God,

The Creator of Heaven and earth and everything that exists.

How great You are.

I stand in awe of Your wonders and Your magnificent Mighty power.

I worship and praise You and give You all the honour, glory, praise and adoration that You, and only You deserve.

I thank You for this Holy day of rest and gladness.

A day that You blessed and sanctified – made holy.

As the Hymn says,

Don’t forget the Sabbath, the Lord our God has blest.

Of all the week, the brightest, of all the week the best.

It bring repose from labour, it tells of joy divine.

It beams of light descending with Heavenly beauty shine.

Welcome, welcome, ever welcome blessed Sabbath day.

Yes, the Holy Sabbath rest, by our God divinely blest.

It to us a sign shall be, through- out all eternity.

O Lord, I thank You for all Your goodness, kindness, loving kindness, tender mercies and compassions to me – to all humanity.

And for Your amazing Plan of Salvation to save and redeem us back to You, our Creator God.

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your sacrifice of love, Your precious blood that was shed on Calvary cross to save to the uttermost those of us who believe and accept You as our loving Saviour.

I worship You, praise, love and adore You with all my heart, soul and mind, and I will seek You forever.

My greatest desire is to be saved in Your Eternal Kingdom, please save me Lord Jesus.

In Your precious name, I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.

 

 

 

 

Psalms 94:19

In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.

Inspiration.

God is our comfort and help in the good times as well as in times of distress, and He wants to give us calm in the distressful times.

So we need not worry or fret but instead seek the Lord with all our heart, soul and mind.

Seek Him in times when we feel overwhelmed and we have a hard time controlling our mind, our thinking and how we feel about things that are happening.

The Lord wants to give us HIs peace, calm us and give us strength for today and hope for tomorrow.

So have faith in Him, trust in Him and seek Him in the good times and also in times of distress that comes to everyone.

Prayer ( for you)

Our Eternal God,

You know all about me, and my cares and concerns and what my challenges and issues are.

I have come to seek You in prayer and tell You everything about my feelings and about things that are beyond my control.

O Lord, You are a God Who cares and is in control of everything, so I come to You, to seek You and ask for Your help.

To ask for Your guidance, and for Your comfort in times of distress, in situations that are beyond my ability to handle.

O Lord, I know that You are in control of everything and You will take care of situations for me.

Knowing this gives me peace – the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.

As the Hymn says.

” Days are filled with sorrow and care, hearts are lonely and drear.”

” Cast your care on Jesus today, leave your worry and fear.”

” Troubled soul, the Saviour can see, every heartache and fear.”

” Burden are lifted at Calvary, Calvary, Calvary, Jesus is very near.”

And the Holy Scriptures says,

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Thank You Lord God, for always hearing my prayer, comforting me and taking away my anxieties.

Help me always seek You in prayer, and tell You everything and leave everything in Your loving Hands.

And remember that You are always there to help, comfort and guide me in the perfect way.

Please help me not to worry, fret or be anxious about anything, but instead take it to You in prayer, having faith and trust in You to take care of everything for me.

I glorify, exalt, honour, and I love You, and I give You thanksgiving and praise, O Lord God Almighty.

Psalms 42:8

The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me – a prayer to the God of my life.

Inspiration.

God is love, and His loving kindness and tender mercies is always available to us, and He hears our every prayer morning, noon or night.

Prayer (for you)

O Holy Father,

I give You thanks and praise for Your loving watch care, Your tender mercies and compassions that are new to me every moment of every day.

How wonderful to know that You hear my every prayer at anytime and anywhere.

I will seek You with all my heart, my soul and my mind, and magnify and exalt You forever.

O Lord, I need Your loving watch care and protection, I need Your blessings, Your guidance, Your leading and guidance every day.

As the hymn says,

” I need Thee, O I need Thee; every hour I need Thee! O bless me now, my Saviour – I come to Thee.

Dear Lord, please keep me near to You, because temptations lose their power when You are near.

I need You every hour, in happiness, in joy or in the distressful times.

Help me to never give up, to keep looking up, pressing on to glory and keep going forward in faith.

O Lord, I thank You for Your Holy words of Scripture that gives me peace, strength for today and hope for tomorrow.

O Lord, teach me Your will; and may Your rich promises be fulfilled in me.

Yes, Lord I need You every hour, O bless me now my Saviour – I come to Thee.”

I give You thanks and praise dear Lord, for helping me to learn, understand and know more about You each day.

And to realize that this life is not all there is – there is life eternal in Heaven through Jesus Christ, my Saviour, Redeemer, Advocate, Intercessor and my Friend.

I give You thanks and praise for all that You have done, and will do to make sure that I am saved in Your Eternal Kingdom.

Psalms 19:14

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your Sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

Inspiration.

It is good to ask the Lord to help us with what we say, do and our thoughts, so that we can be pleasing to Him, and be more Christ-like in our character.

Prayer (for you)

O Lord God,

I ask that You help me to be pleasing to You in my words, thought process and in my actions.

And when I fall short of Your glory, O Lord, please forgive me and cleanse me from anything that is not Christ-like.

O Lord, You know that I am weak, but You are strong, and I need Your Strength, so please help me, lead and guide me along the pilgrim journey.

Help me let my light shine – the light of Your love and mercies so that other may see You in me, and glorify You.

In Jesus’ precious name, I pray. Amen.

 

Deuteronomy 31:22

He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He.

Inspiration.

God is our Rock  – He is all-powerful and He is Eternal.

God is always in control, so we can put our faith, trust and hope in Him for the present time and for the future.

We can be assured that the Lord God is always ready to help us, lead us in the best way, because He is a good God, of tender mercies, compassions and love for us.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal Father in Heaven,

You are my Rock and the God of my salvation.

All Your works ( Your activities) are holy, perfect and righteous forever.

You are a God of Infinite love, compassion, and tender mercies, justice, and pity for me Your Creation.

And You are the all wise God, and You know everything about today, tomorrow and forever.

O Lord, how great to know that I can put my total confidence and trust in You, because You know the beginning from the end of everything.

Personally, I only know about the present time, but You, O Lord live in Eternity, and You see and know everything.

I love, praise and give You thanks for Your Holy Scriptures that lifts my spirit, and give me strength for today and hope for tomorrow.

Deuteronomy 31:8

And the Lord, He is the One Who goes before you.

He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”

Inspiration.

God is always there for you to lead, guide and direct you in the perfect and holy way.

He will never leave you or forsake you.

It does not matter what obstacles or challenges that you may face, God will make a way for you.

Just have faith and trust in Him.

Remember God is with you, and God is for you.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal & Holy God,

Thank You for Your promise that You will never leave me or forsake me.

My complete faith, hope and trust is in You, the Creator of the Universe and the Source and Sustainer of my life.

O Lord, You know about my challenges and the obstacles that I have.

I know that You have the solution to every challenge or problem that I  face, so I bring them to You and I ask that You help me, and lead, guide and direct me.

Thank You in advance for all that You have done and will do for me.

It is so good to know – God is with me and God is for me.

Praise the Lord!

Psalms 118:8-9

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man, it is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.

Inspiration.

Everyone has said one thing and done the other.

Even family members and good friends sometimes disappoint us because we are weak, imperfect, sinful people.

And of course public officials promise one thing while campaigning, then when they win and take office they do the complete opposite thing.

But our Creator God always does for us what He says that He will do, because He is perfect, holy and all-powerful.

And His Holy Scriptures has many promises that we can be assured that He will keep and we can claim for ourselves.

Therefore,  we can put our total and complete confidence and trust in Him at all times.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal God,

How great You are.

There are so many promises that are in Your Holy Scriptures that we can claim for ourselves because we know that You will keep every promise that You have made.

Eg.

” If we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

Jesus said,

” Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” 1 John 1:9

” Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” Mark 11:24

” For everyone who ask receives, and everyone who seeks will find, and to those who knock it will be opened.” Matthew 7:8

Jesus said ” If you can believe all things are possible to those who believe. ” Mark 9:23

” For I know the thoughts I think towards you, say the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

” Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” Jeremiah 29:12

“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13

” Call upon Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” Jeremiah 29:3

” Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” Psalms 50:15

As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me. Evening, morning and at noon, I will pray, and cry aloud. Psalms 55:16-17

” As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.” Psalms 18:30

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalms 18:2

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped, therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him. Psalms 28:7

” Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall being it to pass. Psalms 37:5

” Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed are those who trust in Him. Psalms 34:8

” Let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in Me.”

” In My Father’s house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you.”

” And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

” And where I go you know, and the way you know.” John 14:1-4

” Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.Revelation 1:7

” I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord, Who is and Who was and Who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8

” Seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33

( all the things that we need ( eg food, raiment, shelter, health and strength etc.) God will supply for us, but we need to put first things first – and seek Him God first.)

” The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15

” Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” Mark 16:16

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

” You will keep them in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because they trust in You. Isaiah 26:3

The Lord bless and keep you, the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up His countenance on You and give you peace. Isaiah 6:24-26

And the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout and the voice of the Archangel and the dead in Christ will rise first, and we who are alive and remain shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7

Romans 8:39

Nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

As it is written:

” Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of mankind, the things that God has prepared for those who love Him. 1 Corinthians 2:9

These are just some of the promises that are in the Holy Scriptures and God will keep every one of these promises, so we can have faith and trust in Him with all our heart, soul, and our mind.

John 4:24

Jesus says,

” God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Inspiration.

God deserves our worship and praise. He is God and God alone and there is no other.

He is so loving, holy, perfect, righteous, Divine, compassionate, of tender mercies, good, kind, pities us and so patience with us.

He made a way for us to be saved and redeemed and be part of the family of God.

So let us worship Him according to the truth of the Holy Scriptures, and with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal God,

I worship You because of Who You are.

You are the only true and living God, and there is no other.

All other gods are idols – man made.

But You, Lord God, You made man, You are the Creator God, and You deserve my worship, praise, glory, honour and adoration.

I give You all the worship, praise and thanksgiving that You alone deserve.

And I magnify and glorify Your Holy Name.

Praise to the Trinity – Creator God, Jesus, the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, and to the Holy Spirit – my Comforter and Helper.

In Jesus Holy Name. Amen.
