1 John 4:8a

God is love.

Psalms 118:1

Oh, give thanks to the Lord God for He is good and His mercies endures forever.

Devotion.

Our Creator God loves us with an Infinite, everlasting and eternal love.

And His loving kindness, tender mercies and compassions are new every morning.

Prayer (for you)

Heavenly Father,

Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty.

Lord God, I give You thanks and praise for Your eternal love and Your goodness that endures forever and ever.

These are just some of Your attributes, love, goodness, gracious, patient, kind, just, tender mercies, compassionate and forgiving.

How wonderful to know that You are always there to guide and help me in every situation that I may encounter as I journey along the pilgrim way.

The way that leads to You, Lord God, Lord Jesus and to life eternal.

Lord Jesus, thank You for being the ” way, the truth, and the life”

You have made a way, and You show me the way to be saved from sin.

And You let me know the truth about what life is all about through the Holy Scriptures.

And You give me eternal life through Your great sacrifice of love on Calvary’s cross for my salvation.

I thank You for all that You have done for me, and what You will continue to do – leading and guiding me in the good and godly way that leads life eternal.

O Lord, please continue to be my life’s guide now and forever.

I glorify and bless Your Holy name.

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.

In Jesus’ name, I pray with thanksgiving.

Amen.

Hymn.

God is love and we are His little children.

God is love and we should be like Him.

It is love that makes us happy.

It is God’s love that smooths the way.

God is love and where God is, there is love eternal.

God is so good, so good, He is so good to me.

God loves me so, God loves me, Yes, God loves me so.

He is so good to me.

God answers answers prayer, God answers prayers.

He is so good to me.

Praise the Lord! Amen.

James 3:17

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Devotion.

The wisdom that comes from God is pure, wholly and surpasses human wisdom and knowledge.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal Father in Heaven,

How wonderful to know that You will give me Your wisdom, knowledge and understanding when I seek You with all my heart, soul and mind.

O Lord, to seek You means reading and studying the Holy Bible, praying, asking for forgiveness, singing hymns and spiritual songs, sharing Bible knowledge with others, so that they can come to the knowledge of how to be saved from sin and destruction.

Also to seek the Lord is to develop our own personal relationship with our Creator God, Lord Jesus, and Holy Spirit.

And also to be pleasing to the Lord in our conduct, and obey the Lord God in all our ways.

O Lord, I know that I need Your help and guidance to be pleasing to You.

So I humbly ask that You continue to guide me as I journey along the Christian pathway.

And give me Your wisdom, understanding, and help me to acknowledge You in all my ways, so that You can give me Your peace – the peace of God that surpasses all human understanding.

O Lord Jesus, please forgive me of my sins, cleanse me and make me wholly Thine, completely devoted to You, now and forever.

I love and adore You and bless Your Holy Name.

Praise the Lord!

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Hymn.

What a fellowship, what a joy divine.

Leaning on the everlasting arms.

What a blessedness, what a peace is mine.

Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Chorus.

Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms.

Leaning leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.

2.

O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way.

Leaning on the everlasting arms.

O how bright the paths grows from day to day.

Leaning on the everlasting arms.

3.

What have I to dread, what have I to fear?

Leaning on the everlasting arms.

I have blessed peace with my Lord so near.

Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Yes, we are safe and secure when we lean on Jesus.

Amen.

Psalms 40:1

I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry.

Devotion.

Waiting is part of our lives.

When we pray, sometimes God answers our prayers immediately, and other times we have to wait on the Lord.

Because He knows what is best and the perfect time to answer us.

So wait on the Lord and be of good cheer, as you wait patiently.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal Father,

Thank You for Your many blessings to me, and Your Infinite love, compassions and tender mercies that are new every morning.

Great is Your faithfulness to me, O Lord God Almighty.

Thank You for the privilege of prayer.

How wonderful to know that I can communicate with, talk to the God of the Universe and He hears and will answer my prayers.

O Lord, I know that You answer some prayers immediately, and sometimes I need to wait for Your answers.

Because You see down the corridor of time and You know the best way and the best time to answer.

So I will keep on praying, keep on trusting in You,  because I know that You will do for me what is in my best interests.

O Lord, my faith, hope and trust is in You, so I will patiently wait on You, and be of good cheer as I wait.

As Your Holy Scriptures says,

” Wait on the Lord and be of good courage, and He shall strengthen Your heart; wait, I say on the Lord. Psalms 27:14

Thank You for Your Holy Scriptures that encourages and gives me strength as I journey along the Christian way.

I praise and adore You, now and forever.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Hymn.

O God, our help in ages past.

Our hope for years to come.

Our shelter from the stormy blast.

And our eternal home.

2.

O God, my help in ages past.

Be Thou my guide while life shall last.

And my eternal home!

Praise the Lord. Amen.

Philippians 4:8-9

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whenever things are pure, whatever are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and it there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things.

The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

Devotion.

If we dwell on sinful, negative things, our thinking process will degenerates.

But if we fill our minds with the Holy and acceptable things of God, our thinking process changes and we begin to decern what is good, holy, righteous, the truth, and we will learn to live in accordance with God’s will – His Holy ways.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal Father in Heaven,

Thank You for Your Holy Scriptures that gives me strength for today and hope for tomorrow, and encourages me as I journey along the Christian pathway.

I want to focus on You, on Jesus, on glory, and not on things of this world that is passing away.

Please help me to think on pure, holy, lovely, noble, things of good report, just and praiseworthy.

I humbly ask that You guide me in Your Holy ways, so that I can be pleasing to You in every way.

So that the God of peace and Jesus Christ, the peacemaker will be with me.

Thank You for Infinite love and tender mercies to me.

I love and adore You.

In Jesus’ name, I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.

Hymn.

Come, Thou Fount of every blessing.

Tune my heart to sing Thy praise.

Streams of mercy, never ceasing.

Call for songs of loudest praise.

Teach me ever to adore Thee.

May I still Thy goodness move.

While the hope of endless glory.

Fills my heart with joy and love.

2.

Here I raise my praise to You.

Only by Thy help, I’ve come.

And I hope by Thy good pleasure.

Safely to arrive at home.

Jesus sought me when a stranger..

Wandering from the fold of God.

He to rescue me from danger.

Interposed HIs precious blood.

3.

O, to grace how great a debtor.

Daily I’m constrained to be!

Let Thy goodness like a fetter.

Bind me closer still to Thee.

O Lord, help me never to wander.

Never to leave the God, I love.

Here’s my heart – O, take and seal it.

Seal it for Thy courts above.

Yes, Lord, seal me, seal my heart for Heaven above.

Amen.

Colossians 3:2

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

Devotion.

Our minds are constantly processing information. And what we think affects us more than we realize, because who we are today is the result of what we have been thinking about these past years.

That is why Christians are admonished to focus our thoughts on the things that honour the Lord – because God’s goal is to change us into the likeness of Christ and that transformation begins in our minds. Quote by Charles Stanley.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal Father,

I need Your Holy blessings, Your guidance, Your forgiveness, Your protection each and every moment of every day.

Thank You for Your Plan of Redemption that saves me from sin, and will also vindicate You to the entire Universe.

And will show that You are indeed a good God, a God of Infinite love, loving kindness, compassion, justice and tender mercies.

And that You are the only true and living God, a  Holy and Righteous God, and no sin can come into Your Holy Presence.

Because of Your Infinite love for us, You made a way for me to saved from sin and destruction.

You sent Jesus to pay the penalty for my sin, and for all humanity.

What a wonderful God, You are, Mighty and strong to save.

O Lord, please help me think, to focus on heavenly, eternal things, focus on glory, and not on the things of this world that is passing away.

Lord, You know what my needs are from day to day, and I know that You will provide for me, so I do not need to worry or fret about anything.

Lord, I claim Your promises that You will always be there for me and  You will provide for my every need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

So I will set my mind on You and not on any problems or issues, instead I will bring everything to You in prayer, knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that my transformation – my renewed mind is in progress.

And my salvation is assured through Jesus, my Saviour.

I give You thanks, adoration and praise.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen

Hymn.

Earthy pleasures vainly call me; I would be like Jesus.

Nothing worldly shall en-thrall me; I would be like Jesus.

Chorus.

Be like Jesus, this my song, in the home and in the throng.

Be like Jesus, all day long! I would be like Jesus.

2.

He has broken every fetter, I would be like Jesus.

That my soul may serve Him better, I would be like Jesus.

3.

All the way from earth to glory, I would be like Jesus.

Telling o’er and o’er the story, I would be like Jesus.

4.

That in heaven He may meet me, I would be like Jesus.

That His words ” Well done” may greet me, I would be like Jesus.

Be like Jesus.

Chorus.

Be like Jesus, this my song, In the home and in the throng.

Be like Jesus, all day long! I would be like Jesus.

Praise the Lord!

Devotion.

Let us keep pressing on to God, to Jesus, the Heavenly call and to glory land.

The Christian life is not a sprint, it is a marathon so we have to keep pressing on in order to win the prize of eternal life.

Never give up, ask God for strength from day to endure to the end.

So I humbly ask for Your continued guidance and direction to live my life pleasing to You in all my ways.

He smiles, and He loves me, and helps me to sing.

I’ll praise Him. I’ll praise Him, with notes loud and clear.

While rivers of pleasure my spirit do cheer.

Yes, with Jesus we are happy and blessed forever more.

1 John 5:14-15

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will,  He hears us.

And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Devotion.

We can have total confidence in God, in Jesus because we have a personal relationship with Him

And we can have the assurance, the confidence that when we pray, God hears our prayers, and He will answer with His best for us.

God knows everything and He sees, He understand things that we do not know or understand.

So let us trust in the Lord with all our heart, soul and mind, and always seek Him in prayer.

Prayer (for you)

Thank You for the privilege of prayer, when I can communicate with the God of the Universe, Jesus Christ, my Saviour and tell You everything, anything that is on my mind, and You hear my every word.

How wonderful to know that You are always there to help, to guide, and to show me things that I do not know or understand.

And You will guide me in the way that leads to life eternal through Jesus Christ.

O Lord, please continue to be my life’s guide as I journey along and draw closer to You, and to glory land.

I thank You for the victory that I have in You, Lord Jesus.

I look forward with great anticipation to the great day when I will see You, my Saviour face to face.

Now my faith looks up to You, but soon and very soon I will literally see You – face to face in all Your power and magnificent glory.

O Lord, please increase my faith and help me to endure to the end.

Because Your Holy Scriptures says, ” those who endure to the end will be saved.”

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.

In Jesus’ precious name, I pray. Amen.

Thou Lamb of Calvary.

Saviour, Divine.

And make me from this day.

Be wholly Thine.

Grace to my fainting heart.

My zeal inspire.

As Thou hast died for me.

O may my love to Thee.

Pure, warm and changeless be.

A living fire.

While life’s dark maze I tread.

And griefs around me spread.

Be Thou my Guide.

Bid darkness turn to day.

Wipe sorrow’s tears away.

Nor let me every stray, from Thee aside.

Amen.

Revelation 4:11

You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.

Devotion.

Our Creator God is more than worthy to receive all our praise and adoration. He created us and everything that exists, He is the only true and living God.

All other gods are idols made with things that the Creator God created.

As we see His holiness, power, majesty, greatness, experience His Infinite love, justice and tender mercies,  let us glorify Him, thank Him, praise Him, and give Him all the glory that God and God alone deserves.

Prayer (for you)

I am amazed at Your power, majesty, Your Infinite love for us, Your creation.

You provide for our every need, and You have provided for our  salvation from sin.

Angels, help us to adore Him.
