Colossians 3: 12

Put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering. (patience)

Inspiration.

When we accept Jesus as our Saviour our character should change, and we should reflect Jesus and have His attributes.

Prayer (for you)

O Lord God,

Creator of Heaven and earth and everything that there is.

I praise and adore You and give You thanks for Your loving kindness and tender mercies to me.

Lord Jesus, You are my Saviour, my Redeemer, my Advocate, my Intercessor, and my Friend.

Please give me a character that is like You.

So that I can  have the fruit of the Holy Spirit, eg. love, joy, peace, goodness, kindness, patience, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

O Lord, I cannot do this by myself, so I humbly ask for Your help in reflecting Your characteristics in my life.

And where I come short of Your glory in my character, I ask for Your forgiveness.

Lord Jesus,  help me to be faithful in my Christian life and keep looking to You, the Author and Finisher ( perfector) of my faith.

And I ask that You lead, guide and direct me in the perfect way, and change my character so that it reflects Your character.

Please help me to do what is good and perfect in Your sight, because I want to be pleasing to You in every way.

Please forgive me of my sins, and help me to forgive others as You have forgiven me.

In Your precious name, I pray. Amen.

 

 

 

 

Psalms 40:1-2

I waited patiently for the Lord, and He inclined to me, and heard my cry.

He also brought me out of the miry pit, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps.

Inspiration.

We spend a lot of time waiting, it is just a part of life.

Sometimes God answers our prayers immediately, and sometimes we have to wait patiently for His answer.

When we wait patiently on the Lord, it shows our faith, hope and trust in Him.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal Father,

Thank You for hearing and answering my prayers.

O Lord, I will patiently wait on You and be encouraged as I do so.

Because I know that You will answer with what is best and perfect for me.

Lord Jesus, thank You for being the Rock of my salvation and my Bright and Morningstar.

Please continue to guide my steps according to Your good and perfect way.

I give You all the honour, glory and praise that You so deserve.

Thank You for Your loving watch care and protection over me from day to day.

I praise, love and adore You.

James 1:7-8

Therefore, be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord.

See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.

You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

Inspiration.

Patience in the Bible means to ” stay the course or to endure.”

Also trust in God, He will help give You the patience and peace that You need.

And remember Jesus is coming very soon.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal Father in Heaven,

Holy You are.

My faith looks up to You, now hear me while I pray.

Please forgive me of my sins and make me wholly Thine, I pray.

Lord Jesus, please help me to be patient, to endure, stay the course, and establish my heart, because Your coming is imminent.

Also help me to be of good courage and wait on You, my Saviour and Redeemer.

O Lord, please increase my faith, trust and hope in You.

I thank You for the blessed hope of Your soon appearance in all Your power and magnificent glory.

Lord Jesus, by faith I believe in You now, but one day soon I will see You face to face.

The Holy Scriptures says,” without faith it is impossible to please God.”

Lord God, I sincerely want to be pleasing to You with all my heart, my soul, and my mind.

Thank You for giving to me Your great salvation so rich and free, and helping me to endure to the end in my Christian life.

Psalms 37:3-4

Trust in the Lord, and do good, dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Inspiration.

God wants us to do good to others so that they may see His goodness in us, as Christians – followers of Jesus.

So let us stay close to the Lord, so that He can give us His goodness, kindness, compassions and tender mercies.

Let us also rejoice in the Lord, and your needs, your desires will also be God’s desire for you.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal Father in Heaven,

I am so thankful for Your Infinite and unconditional love for me.

For Your goodness, lovingkindness and tender mercies to me.

In You, I  trust, O Lord, Creator,  and the Source and Sustainer of my life.

In You, I will look and depend on for guidance and direction in my life.

I will be glad and rejoice in You, and delight in the God of my salvation.

O Lord, You know my desires, my needs, so I ask You to give me the desires of my heart.

I praise and give You thanks for hearing and answering my prayer.

Jeremiah 32:17

Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm.

There is nothing too hard for You.

Inspiration.

Trust and have faith in God. He is the Sovereign God, and there is absolutely nothing that He cannot do.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal & Holy God,

My faith looks up to You.

Take all my sins away and make me from this day, be wholly Thine.

What a privilege I have in prayer, when I can take everything to Creator God in prayer.

Thank You for this Holy Sabbath day,  a day of rest and gladness.

A day to worship You in Spirit and in truth.

O Lord, help me to always remember that there is nothing that You cannot do.

And You want to help me, guide, lead and direct me along life’s journey.

Please help me to submit to You, seek You in prayer, so that You can do wonderful things for me.

Your Holy Scriptures says,

” Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, that you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3

Help me to call to You- seek You in prayer, so that You can show me great and mighty things.

2 Thessalonians 3:16

Now may the God of peace Himself give you peace always in every way.

Inspiration.

True peace comes only from God. And it is a gift from God that He gives to those who have faith and trust in Him.

When we have our own personal relationship with God and Jesus, we do not need to worry, fret or get anxious about anything.

Because when trouble and trials come, we  know that we can choose to trust in God’s wisdom, His love for us, His power, and His ability to provide for us, and be there for us in every situation.

Prayer (for you)

Eternal God,

Creator of the Universe, the Cosmos, and the only true and living God.

I give You praise and thanks for Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

I am so glad to be part of the family of God.

My faith, trust and hope is in You, O Lord God Almighty.

And it is so good to know that I do not need to worry, fret or be anxious when trial, challenges come my way, because Your help is always there for me.

So help me always to remember to come to You in prayer, trusting in Your loving kindness, tender mercies, Your wisdom, Your power, Your compassions, Your goodness, and that You are able to solve any situation.

I thank You O Lord, that Your help is ever- present, and that You are always willing and able to protect, provide, lead, guide and direct me in the perfect way.

And give me courage and strength for today and hope for tomorrow.

And of course, ” give me Your peace in every way.”

Prayer (for you)

My Eternal God,

I give You praise and thanks that I can have Your peace at all times.

How wonderful, how great it is to have a close personsl relationship with the God of the Universe, and Jesus Christ, my Saviour.

Please help me to continue to have a closer walk with You, through reading of Your Holy Scriptures, prayer, and worship.

I thank you for the opportunity of prayer when I can come to You  with complete confidence, and bring everything to You, and ask for Your help and guidance.

O Lord, You are such a good God, so kind, compassionate and merciful toward me.

Always willing to show me, help me, lead and direct in the good and perfect way.

Romans 15:13

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in  hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Inspiration.

As a Christian our life should be one of hope, joy and peace.

Prayer (for you)

My Eternal God,

I thank You for giving me Your peace.

The peace that surpasses all understanding.

Also I give You thanks and praise for the blessed hope, the joy that I have in knowing You, and having a personal relationship with the God of the Universe and Jesus Christ, my Saviour.

And I am happy (blessed) because my sins are forgiven, and I am saved, sanctified and on the pathway that leads to life eternal through Jesus Christ.

I praise and exalt You, honour and adore You.

Romans 3:10

As it is written, ” There is none righteousness, no, not one.”

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Psalms 32:1

Blessed is he or she whose transgressions is forgiven whose sin is covered.

Inspiration.

The Hebrew word “blessed” means happy.

A person who is forgiven of their sins should be a happy person.

The weight of sin has been lifted off their shoulders, and we now free from the bondage of sin.

We can be happy because we have a chance to begin again – we are forgiven, cleansed sin.

No longer guilty – Jesus paid the penalty for our sins.

We definitely should be very happy.

Prayer ( for you)

Holy God,

Thank You for Your Plan of Salvation to save and redeem me.

I confess and repent of every sin that I have ever committed, and I ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing.

Thank You Lord Jesus, for Your sacrifice of love to save me.

I am indeed blessed. Yes, I am indeed happy because I am free from sin and sinfulness and the bondage of sin.

I have a clean slate, forgiven, cleansed,  guilt dissolved. saved and sanctified.

Hebrews 8:12 says,

” I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”

Thank You Lord God, Lord Jesus.

Romans 8:31

If God is for us, who can be against us?

Inspiration.

Even though we may have trials, challenges and problems, and people may cause us sorrow and strife.

Absolute nothing can triumph over us when we are followers of Jesus Christ.

Jesus has been triumphant and victorious, and we will absolutely and completely share in His victory.

Prayer (for you)

Our Heavenly Father,

I praise and adore You and I exalt You, O Lord God, Holy, Just and Merciful, You are.

I am so glad to be a Christian, and a part of the family of God.

God is with me, and God is for me.

O Lord, please help me not to be anxious, worry or fret about anything.

But instead, I will bring all my concerns and cares to You, because You see, know and understand what I do not.

O Lord, You see down the corridor of time, and  I know that You have my best interests in mind, and You will work everything out for my good and for my salvation.

So I will trust, have faith and hope in You all the days of my life.

Because You are such a loving, merciful and compassionate God.

Mighty to save and strong to deliver Your redeemed from sin and destruction.

So no matter what may happen, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I am saved, sanctified by the blood of Jesus.

And I will be victorious over sin, sinners and the arch-enemy.

Because, Jesus, You have conquered and You have been victorious over the evil devil.

And it is only a matter of time and You will come again, Lord Jesus, and You will put an end to all the sorrow, suffering and evil in this world, and the devil, sin and sinners will be no more.

Lord Jesus, I look forward to that wonderful and glorious day, when I will see You, my Saviour and Redeemer face to face.

There is victory in Jesus, my Saviour forever.

Praise the Lord, I am redeemed and I will be victorious as well.

Psalms 18:30-31

As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is proven.

God is a shield to all who trust in Him.

For who is God, except the Lord?

And who is our Rock, except our God?

Inspiration.

The Lord God is perfect in all His ways, and He is a Rock and shield to those who trust in Him.

Prayer (for you)

O Lord God,

Thank You for another day to seek You, and draw close to You in Spirit and in truth.

Please forgive me of my sins and cleanse me from every iniquity.

Thank You for being my Rock and my Salvation and a shield for me from the arch-enemy.

And my shelter in the times of the storms of life.

Please help me to continue to build on the Rock – the sure foundation.

And not on the sinking sand of this sinful world.

Lord Jesus, I desire a closer relationship with You, the Rock of my salvation.

Grant it Jesus is my plea.
