Acts 3:19

Repent therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

Devotion.

” Repentance involves two steps: (1) sincere pain and sorrow for our sins; and (2) the honest decision to repent and abandon sin.

In the Bible repentance is almost always connected to forgiveness. We genuinely repent; God forgives. It is that simple.”  Quote from SS Lesson.

Prayer (for you)

Heavenly Father,

Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God, Who was, Who is and Who is to come, the Almighty.

I give You thanks and praise for Your goodness that leads me to repentance.

O Lord, I repent of every sin, iniquity and transgression and I humble ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing.

O Lord, I am sorrow for my sins and ask You to help me to live a godly and holy life that is pleasing to You.

Yes, Lord, I repent and I humbly ask You to convert me and refresh me, make me wholly Thine, totally devoted to You, and Your Holy ways.

So that when You look down and see us, may You see me as someone who understands and seeks You.

Thank You for sending Jesus to save me – to save the world from sin and the arch-enemy of our souls.

Your Plan of Salvation is so wonderful – You made a way for us to be saved from sin and destruction – when there seem to be no way.

Because Lord Jesus, You are the “way, the truth and the life” and Your precious blood cleanses us, saves us, make us part of the family of God, and gives us eternal life.

Lord Jesus, we would have been lost without Your sacrifice of love to save us.

I do not have the words that are adequate enough to express my gratitude, my thanks to You for what You have done for me – for the human race.

I will just say.

To God be the glory, great things He has done.

I thank You and I love and adore You.

In Jesus’ precious name, I pray. Amen.

Hymn.

To God be the glory, great things He hath done.

So love He the world, that He gave us His Son.

Who yielded His life an atonement for sin.

And opened the floodgate that all may go in.

Chorus.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord.

Let the earth hear His voice.

Praise the Lord, let the people rejoice.

O come to the Father, through Jesus, the Son.

And give Him the glory, great things He hath done.

2.

O perfect redemption the purchase of blood.

To every believer the promise of God.

The vilest offender who truly believes.

That moment from Jesus, a pardon receives.

3.

Great things He has taught us,

Great things He hath done.

And great our rejoicing, through Jesus, the Son.

But purer and higher and greater will be.

Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.

Praise the Lord! Amen.
