Deuteronomy 6:5
” You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.”
Devotion.
Moses told the people the commands of God that he received to give to them.
” Of all God’s commandments, this is the central and most important. When we love God first and foremost, obedience follows as a natural result and ceases to be a chore.” Quote C. Stanley.
Prayer (for you)
Heavenly Father,
You are such a loving, good, merciful and compassionate God, and I love You with all my heart, soul and mind.
Thank You for the privilege of prayer, a time when I can come to You and seek You.
Your Holy Scriptures says, we will find You if we seek You diligently.
O Lord, how wonderful to know that You are always there for me, morning, noon or night, and I can tell You things that I cannot tell anyone else.
And You always hear me and will answer with Your absolutely best and perfect will for me.
O Lord, I give You thanks and praise for all that You have done for me, and what You are doing and will continue to do for my good.
Please continue to guide me along the straight and narrow pathway, and help me be obedient to Your commands and Your Holy ways.
Lord God, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, I love You with all my heart, soul and mind.
In Jesus’ precious name, I pray. Amen.
Hymn.
More love to Thee, O Christ!
More love to Thee!
Hear Thou the prayer I make on bended knees.
This is my earnest plea.
More love, O Christ to Thee!
More love to thee! More love to Thee!
2
Once earthly joy I craved.
Sought peace and rest.
Now Thee alone I seek.
Give what is best.
This all my prayer shall be.
More love, O Christ to Thee.
More love to Thee! More love to Thee!
Amen.
