Psalms 57:1-3
Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me!
For my soul trusts in You.
And in the shadow of Your Wings I will make my refuge, until all these calamities have passed by.
I will cry out god Most High, to God Who performs all things for me.
He shall send from Heaven and save me, He reproaches the one who would swallow me up.
God shall send His mercy and His truth.
Devotion.
We are safe and sound with God, for He is always watching over His redeemed.
Even when the evil one brings trouble and problems our way, we can trust and have faith in our Creator God, and make Him our refuge and strength – a present help in times of trouble and distress.
Prayer (for you)
Heavenly Father,
How great You are, how Holy and Righteous and Merciful.
The great Creator of the Universe, the Cosmos and everything that exists.
You are the only true and living God and I worship, praise and glorify You, O Lord God Almighty.
To You I will come, turn to until all my troubles have passed.
Lord, my faith, hope and trust is in You, because You are always there to help, to lead and to guide in the way that You know is best and perfect.
Thank You for Your loving kindness, tender mercies and compassions that are new every morning.
I give You praise and thanks for what You will do for me.
I am so glad to be part of the family of God, washed in the fountain (baptized) and cleansed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ, my Saviour and Redeemer.
Thank You for Your steadfast love that endures forever.
I love You, Lord.
In Jesus’ name, I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.
Hymn.
Now thank we all our God.
With heart and hands and voices.
Who wondrous things hath done.
In Whom this world rejoices.
Who, from our mother’s arms.
Hath kept us on our way.
With countless gifts of love.
And still is ours today.
2.
O may this bounteous God.
Through all our lives be near us.
With ever thankful joyful hearts.
And blessed peace to cheer us.
And keep us in His grace.
And guide us when perplexed.
And free us from all ills.
In this world and the next.
3.
All praise and thanks to God.
The Father God now be given.
The Son, and Him Who reigns.
With Him in highest Heaven.
The One eternal God.
Whom earth and Heaven adore.
For thus it was, is now.
And shall be evermore.
Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
Amen.
