Psalms 29:2
Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name. Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
Devotion.
Our Creator God is the only true and living God, and there is no other, but Him.
Let us worship, praise, honour, glorify, magnify and exalt, the true and living God on His Holy Sabbath day.
Prayer (for you)
Heavenly Father,
I worship, praise and give You all the honour and glory that You deserve.
You created the Heavens and the earth and everything that exists, and You created humanity in Your Image after Your Likeness.
What a Mighty, Majestic and Powerful God You are.
I will worship You in Spirit and in truth now and forever.
Lord, I ask You to bless me and my family – we need Your blessings, and I thank You in advance for what You will do for us.
O Lord, I look forward to that wonderful day when I will be able to worship, praise and glorify You in Heavenly places.
In the meantime, I will worship You here, and give You all the praise, glory, honour and adoration that You deserve.
Thank You for Your Holy Sabbath day – a day that You blessed and sanctified ( made holy).
Lord, You rested from all Your creative work and rested on the Sabbath day, setting an example for us to follow.
Yes, Lord, I will follow Your example, I will follow You all the way, and I humbly ask that You help me to be pleasing to You in every way.
I love and adore You.
In Jesus’ Holy name, I pray. Amen.
Hymn.
Safely through another week.
God has brought us on our way.
Let us now a blessing seek.
Waiting in His courts today.
Day of all the week the best,
Emblem of eternal rest.
Day of all the week the best.
Emblem of eternity rest.
2.
While we seek supplies of grace.
Through the dear Redeemer’s name.
Show Thy reconciling face.
Take away our sin and shame.
From our worldly cares set free.
May we rest this day in Thee.
From our world cares set free.
May we rest this day in Thee.
3.
When the morn shall bid us rise.
May we feel Thy Presence near.
May Thy glory meet our eyes.
When we in Thy house appear.
Here afford us, Lord, a taste.
Of our everlasting feast.
Here afford us, Lord, a taste.
Of our everlasting feast.
4.
May the gospel’s joyful sound.
Conquer sinners, comfort saints.
Make the fruits of grace abound.
Bring relief to all complaints.
Thus may all our Sabbaths be.
Till we rise to reign with Thee.
Thus may all our Sabbaths be.
Till we rise to reign with Thee.
The Sabbath day – a day of rest and gladness.
Praise the Lord! Amen.
