Ephesians 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith, not that of yourselves; it is the gift of God.
Devotion.
What does salvation mean? To be saved means two things.
First, it mans that God accepts you just as you are, with all your imperfections. To gain that acceptance, all you have to do, is ask Him to forgive you of the wrong things you’ve done that you feel guilty about. He’ll do it immediately. And there’s another huge benefit to God’s acceptance of you: He also promises you eternal life.
Second, to be saved means that God transforms your mind and emotions so that you no longer want to do the wrong things for which you felt so guilty. Christians call this the ” new birth.”
And believing in God, in Jesus, having faith in Him, and being baptized and asking Jesus to come into your heart to stay.
The Bible call this ” salvation by faith.” You receive by believing and having faith. The Salvation that God offers us through Jesus, our Saviour is the most important thing in this life.
Prayer (for you)
Heavenly Father,
O, How great You are.
Thank You for Your Plan of Salvation so rich and free to everyone.
Salvation to save and redeem us from the arch-enemy of our souls, to save us from sin and destruction.
Because sin leads to destruction.
Thank You, Lord God for sending Jesus to be my Saviour and Redeemer.
Thank You, Lord Jesus for coming to earth and dying on Calvary’s cross to save and redeem me.
I accept You as my Saviour, and I believe in You, my faith, trust and hope is in You.
Yes, Lord Jesus, I believe in You, You died for me and You would not have done that unless You love me.
Thank You for Your Infinite love, tender mercies, Your compassions and Your forgiveness of my sins.
Also thank You for making me part of the family of God and for Your gift of eternal life.
Help me to endure to the end in my Christian journey, and keep pressing on to glory.
I love and adore You.
In Jesus’ Holy name, I pray with thanksgiving.
Amen.
Hymn.
We have heard a joyful sound.
Jesus saves, Jesus saves.
Spread the gladness all around.
Jesus saves, Jesus saves.
Bear the glad news to every land.
Climb the steeps and cross the waves.
Onward, ’tis the Lord’s command.
Jesus saves, Jesus saves.
2.
Give the winds a mighty voice.
Jesus saves, Jesus saves.
Let the nations now rejoice.
Jesus saves, Jesus saves.
Shout salvation full and free.
Highest hills and deepest caves.
This our song of victory.
Jesus saves, Jesus saves.
