Psalms 5:11
Let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them.
Devotion.
We should be glad and rejoice in the God of our salvation. Because He is always there to help us, provide for us, and to defend us and save us from sin.
Prayer (for you)
Heavenly Father,
You are the Only true and living God, and there is no other, bur You.
And You are my Rock, my Defense, and the Lord God of my salvation.
I give You thanks and praise for Your loving kindness, tender mercies and compassions to me.
For Your great salvation so rich and free, to whoever comes to You in faith seeking to be saved from sin and destruction.
I rejoice and I am glad that I have my own close personal relationship with You, the Creator God of the Universe and of the Cosmos.
And You created everything that exists.
O Lord, please forgive me of my sins, and continue to lead and guide me as I journey along the narrow pathway.
Keep me steadfast and help me to endure to the end, so that I can see saved and sanctified.
What a wonderful day it will be when I will see my Lord and Saviour, face to face.
I look forward to that glorious day with great anticipation.
Thank You, dear Lord, for all that You have done for me, and what You will continue to do in my life.
My faith, hope and trust is in You, O Lord God Almighty.
I love and adore You.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Hymn
O God, my help in ages past.
Our hope for years to come.
Our shelter from the stormy blast.
And our eternal home.
2.
Under the shadow of Thy Throne.
Still may we dwell secure.
Sufficient is Thine arm alone.
And our defense is sure.
3.
Before the hills in order stood.
Or earth received her frame.
From everlasting Thou art God.
To endless years the same.
4.
A thousand ages, in Thy Sight.
Are like an evening gone.
Short as the watch that ends the night.
Before the rising sun.
5.
O God, our help in ages past.
Our hope for years to come.
Be Thou our guide while life shall last.
And our eternal home.
Praise the Lord! Amen.
